We welcome you to come and soak up the waterside atmosphere here at South Deep, a great place for our marina customers, berth holders and guests to relax after a day out on the water. Indulge in our head chefâs delicious food whilst enjoying a chilled gla
Went to South Deep for lunch today, we waited a little while to be seated after having two waitresses pass us without question. After eventually being greeted, and sat down we werenât given menus, had to get them off another table, waited 10-15 minutes before anyone approached us, same situation with the waitresses making eye contact but not once coming up to us. Food was great, but once finished, our table was never cleared and no one did a check back on our table to see how we were getting on. After asking for the bill, we then waited around 5 minutes, went into the restaurant and all staff were standing around in the kitchen doing nothing. The attitude we received from one waitress was awful, and then the manager came over to try and resolve it, the waitress laughed and rolled her eyes and walked off. Very disappointing since this place is so nice, just need the staff to be replaced or at least trained.Hi,Thank you for your review. Naturally we are very sorry to hear that you had a poor experience here st South Deep. This is not our aim at all and it is something we are constantly trying to improve. We'd very much like to discuss your review in more detail so if you wouldn't mind emailing me (Jimmy) - [email protected] then we can discuss this further. Thanks again. Best regards, Jimmy

Stunning Waterside Members Bar and Restaurant. Visitors are welcome.
The waitress Had to be flagged down after being seated for 40 minutes, luckily had gone to the bar for bottles of wine. After ordering food starters and mains the finger bowls for our main mussels came out before the starter appeared, when we pointed out this to the waitress she very patronisingly said this is what we do!then proceeded to tell her fellow waitresses, this was obvious as they were all looking over, the service then went even more downhill with plates being plonked in front of us!We have all been in this business and some still are,so therefore respect the job and know how hard it can be,the food was very good but without good service means nothing!

Da Vinci's Italian restaurant is located in an old warehouse, right on the bustling quay. Da Vinci's Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner every day. With picturesque views of Poole Harbour's glistening waters, antique charm and a friendly welcome from
My friend and I had a girls night out at Da Vinciâs in August. We had a lovely evening! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. There was a very warm, cosy atmosphere and it felt welcoming and buzzy - perfect for an Italian restaurant. I had a pasta meal which was really tasty and my friend had a pizza, which was just as delicious. Thank you Da Vinciâs, we will definitely be back!Thank you for reviewing our restaurant and we are so pleased that you enjoyed your evening with us. See you both again soon!

A get together with friends we came here as we hadnt been for some time. The food is lovely as always and service good. One small point is asking for water for the table, we had to ask about 3 times , we did get it eventually perhaps the staff could ask on arrival if we would like water. Thats my only small criticism other than that the food and staff were very good on a busy evening.Thank you

With views across the water you can enjoy a casual lunch with classic dishes such as crab salads and moules mariniere, alongside seafood dishes including dover sole meuniere, turbot hollandaise and fruits de mer.
Saturday lunch and it did not disappoint. The staff were brilliant, very welcoming and knowledgeable. As you would expect the food was top dollar; beautifully prepared and served, it was just an amazing dining experience. My only slight gripe was the cheeseboard; for the price charged i felt the portions could and should have been slightly greater than each serving would only fit on one cracker. However, this was minor. A truly great culinary delight

Only me and my 2 friends and one other couple on a Thursday evening at 7.30. Waitress was lovely, professional and helpful. Unfortunately the food was not as described in the menu. Lobster covered in a garlic sauce. Couldnât taste the lobster. We were told the menu would reflect this in the future and despite being given a free desert( which we would not have ordered as weâd had starters) we will not visit again. This is your second review and this response is for the benefit of other diners. Following your initial review I held a staff meeting to discuss your comments. You visited us having been gifted a voucher by one of our staff/friends. You praised your starters and cleaned the plates, you all devoured every bit of your main course and said you enjoyed the service. You commented that you did not like that your lobster had garlic butter (you are correct in saying that it was not in the description of Whole Dorset blue lobster, fries and salad ) therefore we offered a replacement, you declined and ate the lot. You were then given a free dessert which you also devoured. No comments were made regarding any hint of dissatisfaction other than your comment regarding not expecting garlic butter and as I said, you declined a replacement and ate every last scrap. We work really hard because we're so passionate about what we do. On the occasion that we get it wrong (it does happen from time to time) we hold our hands up and do everything we can to put it right. Every member of the team puts their heart and soul into creating the best possible experience. If you wish to discuss further you can reach me on 01202674970. Though one thing we can agree on is that you should not visit us again. Katie

Mrs MadDog took me to Poole to carry on with my convalescence after life changing surgery(new knee). On day two we spot the Poole arms after our harbour boat trip. The board outside makes us think that we fancy a bit of seafood for dinner tonight. We took note of the reviews and booked a table for that night, and it was a bit busy so that was a good move. I did see a reply from the pub that said they would put an item by for you if you ask. Good idea!Did see some reviews wingeing about no Crab available. As a chef in a previous life MadDog understands the supply chain locally can let you down. So come back tomorrow!. One of the said wingers also said the breakfast at the same hotel we stayed at was "great" which made me realise he was not very bright. One star only, get a life mate............Back to The Poole Arms. Mrs M. has the Chowder and I have the Oysters. Both are really good (the oysters were a bit pricey though) and then we have.............two Crab salads !!. These are the biggest tastiest Crabs ever served on a large mixed salad. Very very good. Bit of a winge myself here and its me being a bit Chefffy. Sliced bread served with this I think, was a bit downmarket. A wholemeal version of the crusty bread served with the Seafood chowder would have been a nicer touch. Or maybe a choice of each would be good. Also note that this is a child free Pub (they all used to be at one time) which is a good thing for people who want to enjoy their food in peace and quiet. Very good move by The Poole Arms.So we have all this excellent food, a decent pint and an extra large glass of something from New Zealand for Mrs M. (what else)? Two lovely friendly ladies serving/pulling pints and all is good with world. Great!!Tony and Wendy12 you don't know what you missed.MadDog says "The Walrus and the Carpenter"..

We were taken by family who said before that it was one of their favourite restaurants anywhere! We were not disappointed. Friendly, beautifully decorated, and the food is superb. Lovely atmosphere, busy and frankly better quality and service than it's more famous restaurant competitor round the corner in Sandbanks. Would definitely return next time we are in Poole.
