This was our second visit and a much better experience than the first. This time the meat was excellent ( as one would expect considering the proprietor is a butcher). The steak was beautiful and tender and chips were excellent too. The only slight negative was the slow service at the bar but we did get served eventually.Thank you for your review. We are glad this second visit was a better experience and we will take your comments on board in order to improve our service.

My second review on this outlet and a deserved 5 out of 5. Both my partner and I alternate The Wolsey and another Sunday outlet we visit on a fortnightly basis. We,ve been using the Wolsey now for about 18 months and have never had a bad lunch here yet, not that we want too! The roasts are cooked to perfection and the veg is always fresh and appetising. The icing on the cake is a delicious gravy. Top marks Wolsey staff, keep it going and see you in 2 weeks time. Thanks very much we will continue to strive for this thanks for your patronage.

Traditional Homemade pub grub Daily specials Function Suite Beer Garden Sunday Carvery Papa's Tapas
We used to regularly have Sunday lunch at Papas Tapas when they were based at The Isis and were disappointed when they closed. Overjoyed to see them now established at The Copt Hill. Still the same first class Sunday lunches (but now a carvery) and warm welcome.Best roast beef dinner ever! Cheers boys, see you again soon.

Was a regular visitor to The Ivy House in the late 70's and early 80's, so was keen to visit again, for the first time in 36 years. Still a great pub, with a great selection of cask ales and craft beers. Friendly welcome and offered the chance to push an electric button to see if I would get my drink free, half price or full price ! It was the latter, but hey it was a decent pint in a true pub.Happy memoriesGood morning Thank you for your review, we are pleased you enjoyed your trip down memory lane.We hope to welcome you back again soon .....not in another 36 years :-)Kind regards Kelly
