Warm bar and dinning, friendly staff, relax and comforting!!
Visited this pub restaurant with a friend for Sunday lunch. We both ordered the roast lamb and at the time of ordering specifically asked for mint sauce. The food took sometime to arrive and when it was served we were asked if we wanted anything, my friend asked once again for mint sauce only at this point to be told they had run out. We appeared to be among the first to be served on the day. The food was good but the incident with the mint sauce tarnished the experience.

A 400 year old hunting lodge set on Minchinhampton Common in the Cotswolds, The Old Lodge restaurant provides a fairytale setting in which to dine. Built in traditional mellow Cotswold stone, The Old Lodge, at one time a hunting lodge owned by Henry VIII,
We have visited this bar/restaurant several times this summer. there is a decent variety of alcohol and a fairly standard bar meal menu. The food is good and the price is reasonable especially considering that it is in a great location in the heart of Minchinhampton Common.

Reserved a table and came for a Sunday roast lunch. The staff showed us to table Iâd specifically requested and provided drinks immediately. We took two roast turkey meals which were ok. This is a new pub for my wife and I. We found the pub to have a pleasant ambience, with a helpful serving team, reasonable food at sensible prices.

We have been infrequent visitors to the Weighbridge for almost 50 years and have not found another pub in the area to equal it. We have seen many Landlords and Owners come and go but the quality of the food never varies. It is consistently very good. We have never explored the menu over this period as we have always loved the home made 2 in 1 pies, so if itâs not broken why mend it ! I until recently have always been able to eat the large pie but now in my mid 70âs join my trim wife with the smaller variety. The large pie is not for the faint hearted. The one advantage of scaling down is being able to enjoy one of the tempting desserts which we did recently by sharing a 2 in 1 Cherry and Apple Crumble with a jug of pouring custard, which was simply divine. What we like about the food is that itâs all home made, by chefs who know their business and no sight of a white van delivering so called gourmet food, that simply requires warming up. The chips that are served are also made with potatoes and are NOT the frozen variety that is all so often the case these days. What a commendation that now two elderly folk after an almost 50 year loyal patronage can still recommend this wonderful charming hostelry.Polite and efficient staff, great selection of ales and wines and a really well managed establishment.

Sitting half way between Stroud and Nailsworth, this 250 year-old former coaching inn, built in the heyday of the Stroud wool industry, oozes rustic character and charm. The Old Fleece has a very relaxed and homely atmosphere and is run by a team of staff
Overall nice place , nice staff and nice location, food was nice , the only down side was there wasnât enough vegan options but worth a visit

I took my mum for lunch to celebrate her birthday, we both opted to go straight for a main course, we each ordered Pork belly with Tewksbury mustard mash, roasted root potatoes and cider cream sauce..Wow! It was absolutely incredible in both looks and flavour! For desert we both ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding, once again, it was superb! They even put a candle in mums pudding for her! A lovely touch! In short, it was the perfect lunchtime treat for mum, service, quality of the food, very reasonably priced, everything was spot on!Julian (the landlord/chef) runs a very tight ship, as the pictures show, his attention to detail is excellent! 10/10Thank you Julian and team..Thank you Robin for your review and I am pleased that you and your Mother had a lovely meal on her Birthday. We hope to see you soon. Julian and Helen.

We decided to go to the George at Frocester for Sunday evening meal to celebrate our eldest's A level grades and his place at Cardiff University. Had looked online for menu but hadn't seen three roast dinners we all decided to plump for these two beef and two pork- gorgeous lovely gravy as a pour on and two lots of vegetables to share between four and two gravy boats. superb for the price and quality. I then decided to have the mini desserts plate which I then had to share with the rest of the table.- thoroughly recommend as small bites and tasters rather than feeling too full at the end of the evening - fabulous x

Plenty of space inside but also tables outside by the quiet village street. Friendly welcome, good service. All the dishes we tried at lunchtime were very good in quality and quantity at an acceptable price. Interesting beer selection. Definitely one we will repeat.

Lovely setting on top of the hill with great views!!! The restaurant is accessible for everyone, and you can easily get a wheelchair in. The staff are very friendly and very efficient!! Now the important bit!!! The Sunday roast was exceptional...we had 2xpork, 2xlamb and 1xbeef. You can choose the size of your lunch...regular (which is large) and small (which is ideal for most)!! The food was absolutely delicious....and was delivered to our table not long after our order. All in all, a great experience!!
