Booked a table as was busy school holidays and there were 9 of us. Within walking distance from Lelant saltines if you donât mind a bit of a walk.Seated in the conservatory which was much cooler and less busy. Waitress looked after us well. We all enjoyed our meals varying from steak, pasta and whitebait. All tasty, hot and good portions. Even joined in the quiz which we werenât that good at!

We are a traditional public house serving good pub food We have a good range of real ales and ciders 2 bars and a heated beer garden
I understand that the new owners had to change the lion to make it there own but i honestly was so upset about whats happened! The new menu is so so hiked up its beyond funny! The dishes on there are not what i call in line of what kind of a pub this was !Also the prices are what i can only say like the ones on the front can i remind everyone there is an amazing view on the front hence there price range! All the nice specials seem to have gone .All the staff has been changed. Most of the drinks we always have seem to have run out! The john smiths could not be drank as it tasted not nice at all! This was always a friendly local pub with the added bonus of the holiday makers who always enjoyed coming in to talk an join in with the locals!! Its so sad to see this has happened!

Promised evening before that pub would be open for brunch and RWC quarter finals would be on. Arrived to find TVs on but no volume. Only tv with (low) sound was by a table occupied by young family. Every other table we were told was reserved for lunch. (As only 11am) So would have had to sit at bar with tv far away and no sound. Manager insisted against ârulesâ to have sound in!Really??? Walked out. Unimpressed.

This pub had a great atmosphere with friendly and welcoming staff as well as locals. We played the pub quiz which was great fun with a variety of questions for all ages. Also a lovely pool table area and drinks are reasonably priced. Plus the deserts looked amazing!!

Already listed as a hotel but the newly refurbed restaurant and bar should be listed
We were lucky to be staying not too far from this Hotel. We ate dinner here twice . The food was exceptional! And we know because we ate at two other more 'upmarket' Restaurants nearby and they didn't come close to the quality of the food at Queens Hotel. The staff is very friendly. I'm happy to read that other travellers also enjoyed this Hotel. It deserves all the positive feedback it gets. Although I don't think that we can top the endorsement by MARY BERRY which greets you at the door before you walk in.

This pub restaurant is clean, tidy and you get a big welcome from the staff. Itâs a beautiful setting for lunch and we both ordered roast lamb. It was presented perfectly and tasted just like you had cooked it at home. Everything was hot tasty and served perfectly. Portions were big too. We chose the local Cornish cheeseboard for dessert and were treated to 5 local cheeses and they all tasted superb. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Just one word of caution please book in advance as the restaurant gets very busy.

Country pub with great food , Michelin and Good Food guide recommended.
We have been here many times before over the last few years and I donât know if they have changed hands but the last time we visited the food was not good, not much variety and just generally not great. And then today, we went in for what we thought would be an evening of games in the bar (they have board games etc) and lots of drinks with food, just how we normally would spend our night there. Set up a tab ready to go.... we sat in the bar area and we had our 15 year old shihtzu with us, he was sitting with us on the bench seat in the window... no one else in the pub at this point.... and the landlord asked us to move the dog off the seat as people complain about dog hair..... every time we have been in before we have been welcomed in with our dog, have sat and spoke to other dog owners and dogs not restricted at all, and after reading the previous review from a few days ago it is apparent that a pub landlord in Cornwall doesnât like dogs! Very disappointed and we left straight after our drinks, and wonât be returning! New landlord needed ASAP!

Great food served at the Balnoon Inn. All is from local produce and freshly cooked to order. We offer a varied menu that has a modern take of traditional British cuisine. We are happy to cater for vegetarians and any dietary needs. Please inform the staff
After a long day exploring the area you can come back have a relaxing drink and great meal .Plenty of choice and all well cooked and friendly service.
