Find out what Mediterranean restaurants to try in Twickenham. Twickenham is a suburban area and town in Greater London, lying on the River Thames 10.2 miles west-southwest of the centre of London. It has an extensive town centre and is famous as being the home of rugby union, with hundreds of thousands of spectators visiting Twickenham Stadium, the world's largest rugby stadium, each year. The historic riverside area is famous for its network of 18th-century buildings and pleasure grounds, many of which survive intact. This area has three grand period mansions with public access: York House, Marble Hill and Strawberry Hill House. Another has been lost, that belonging to 18th-century aphoristic poet Alexander Pope. Among these is the Neo-Gothic prototype home of Horace Walpole which has given its name to a whole district, Strawberry Hill, and is linked with the oldest Roman Catholic university in the country, St Mary's University, Twickenham.

Here comes our brand new food station. Get up on the train and have a nice journey in the labyrinths of flavors, spices and temptations!
Recommended this place by a couple we met in the pub the night before. What a fabulous place. Simple food done extremely well. Good variety and not just vegetarian either, they do sell bacon . As the name suggests that was my choice of breakfast and my hubby had the vegetarian option (although not neither of us are ). Great food, service was good too especially as the young lady was serving on her own. Well done to her, didn't see her name but she deserves a medal as when we left around 9.30, it was getting very busy with gorups of fans in there. If we ever come back to Twickenham , this will definetly be on our list.

Love this place and went for our wedding anniversary back there again, been meaning to write a review but haven't.Highly recommend as food always good and the specials. The service is good, attentive without being overbearing. Most of all good food, good wines selection and great whether going out to celebrate or with friends.

A bit of a disaster really. Avoid. First they messed up my order by leaving in something I can't eat which makes my mouth swell. They remade it but didn't cook the prawns properly. I returned it for it to be cooked. When I got it back the prawns were charred on each side but barely cooked through. The quality overall was poor (food and wine) - some of the worst I've ever had and I waited a long time for everything. At the end of the meal I was told the place is cash only. I went to the bank for cash and paid full price (having been offered more wine after the first error) but left feeling angry and concerned I might get ill.

What a beautiful Italian restaurant. A great experience - no menu, eat what they serve. Rest assured it will be a fun evening in the packed little gem. Great wine list, a bit pricey, but good stuff do not come cheap. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had the most amazing and authentic food upon our visit to Ballaro. We had the aubergine starter and bruchetta- Aubergine was cooked to perfection and the bruchetta clearly had fresh ingredients which made it even more enjoyable. We both had pizzas, each again to perfection! We will definitely be returning, thank you!

Went to Sebastianâs last night before going to the theatre and it was fabulous. It was our first time at this restaurant but we will definitely be going back. From the moment we walked through the door we felt at home. The staff were very courteous and friendly and the meal was delicious. We both had the octopus starter which was divine and I had the seafood linguine, also gorgeous. Hubby had the fillet titake with ravioli which was lovely and a nice touch at the end of the meal was a complimentary Limoncello. All-in-all, a fabulous meal.

Great value, great food, great service. Highly recommended, the best Mezze for miles around. A busy, busy restaurant serving quality, fresh, well presented food. Not designed for 'lingering meals' but the place is 'buzzing'.

Opened in March 2009, Masaniello brings you traditional and authentic Italian cousin with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. In 2012 has been awarded from the Italian Chamber of commerce as Quality Approved Italian restaurants in the World
As an Italian living in London, I have never, and stress never found a restaurant which would serve freshly cooked pasta rather than the floppy, mushy, sad looking spaghetti which have been precooked. This might sound as a detail, but friends, precooked pasta is the death of Italian civilisation as we know it. Masaniello is the outstanding exception to the norm, their pasta is al dente, the choice is varied from antipasto to dessert and every single dish is as you would expect to eat in Italy. No silly compromise to blend into the uniformity of mainstream restaurateur malarkey , pure, unadulterated Italian. We love it and we feel very lucky to have a place locally which happens to be one of the best , most authentic restaurants in the capital. Continuate così, ragazzi!

My boyfriend and I were in the area after visiting Hampton Court and found this small italian restaurant. We were very pleased with our choice as the food was really good and the staff very polite. Pizza was lovely and crispy and there are quite a few interesting choices on the menu beyond the classic Margherita. The Gorgonzola e Noci and Dolce Vita pizza were both very tasty and light. The Sicilian panzerotti we had for dessert were delicious and not something you find in many Italian restaurants menus. Recommended!Thank you very much for your kind feedback.Looking forward to seeing you to try the rest of the menu.Kind regards Maurizio

A surprising comment, you might think, but many Italian restaurants in Britain, even including some of those actually run by Italians, donât really make the effort to go beyond a superficial rendering of standard dishes. Here, they dig a lot deeper than that, and deliver really enjoyable excellence. Highly recommended. Dear CustomerThank you for the amazing review, kind words and recommendation. We are absolutely delighted that your experience here was pleasant. Our staff will be thrilled to read what you wrote. We hope to see you soon again.
