Ancient tradition and contemporary trend meet in age-old London. One of the most cosmopolitan and dynamic destinations on earth, for centuries the British capital has been on the forefront of whatever has been deemed cutting edge, en vogue, and topical. A thriving metropolis of several million people with a global reach and a worldly outlook, London is at its heart a series of small, interconnected villages with the framework and infrastructure of a modern city joining them together, yet seldom denying each its own distinctive character.

This restaurant is a real gem. Four of us went for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it.The whole menu is enticing and all reasonably priced. The starters were well received- duck breast salad, whitebait, beef carpaccio and prawn cocktail. The mains trumped the starters. My fish mixed grill was perfectly cooked, one of the best dishes Iâve ever had the pleasure of eating. Next time Iâll be trying the whole sea bream which looked very impressive. Make sure you go hungry as the portions are healthy! I canât rate this place highly enough.

We visited 'Piatto' this evening after reading the very good reviews on TripAdvisor. The small restaurant is very atmospheric and service is friendly and efficient. We ordered a few bottles of Gavi that were good quality for easy drinking. We decided to share which seemed a good idea considering the type of food and started with the Black Garlic Bread with mozzarella and rosemary (excellent), a Bruschetta that was a generous portion and equally as good as I was expecting from previous reviews and the Burrata that came with Mascarpone with truffles. The food was a perfect introduction to the unusual and individualised dishes that come out of Piatto's kitchen. We couldn't resist one of the specials for a main course and this was the Tuna dish that was well priced at £24 and cooked exactly as I requested. Having seen their charcoal pizzas on TripAdvisor, we had to have one to share and chose the Porcini Black Pizza which was exceptional and topped with buffalo mozzarella and truffle oil. A plate of rocket topped with parmesan and balsamic glaze was the right side to choose to complement the food. We are not pudding fans but my daughter wanted a Cointreau Tiramisu to share so we indulged and whereas it was tasty, wasn't as good as the one I make but I would say that, wouldn't I!The restaurant isn't cheap when everything mounts up but in fairness, the food was very different, quality Italian and all the better for it - we would happily return.

My husband and I came here two nights in a row. We both really enjoyed our meals and the service. The atmosphere is relaxing and they play great doo wop music. We had pasta dishes the first night and they were amazing. They are accommodating to allergies too. Just let them know.

Nestled in the corner of the historic Kensington Square (off Kensington High Street) is the Italian restaurant Grato, the second venture from the founders. This split level restaurant is beautifully decorated creating a relaxing ambiance inside and outsid
Visited at lunchtime on Saturday. It was pleasantly quiet. The staff gave a warm and friendly welcome. The food was authentically Italian and the portion sizes were good, not too big, not too small. Highly recommend the crab pasta. Service charge is included on the bill, and for 2 people having starters mains and drinks it came to just over £50, so not too expensive either. If youâre after authentic Italian food in a serene setting, look no further! (And about a 15 minute walk from the Royal Albert Hall if visiting!).

We've been in London for the past week, staying in Camden, and only tonight came upon this restaurant via other reviews. We are so glad we ate here before heading home. The food was absolutely amazing. Authentic Italian cuisine in a really quaint and friendly atmosphere. Had we tried this earlier in our stay we would've went back another time to explore the menu more!

Originally a street food unit serving pizza from a 1961 Volkswagen DoubleCab Pickup, Pizza Pickup has moved indoors at 64 Peckham Rye, Peckham. Serving delicious wood fired fare - Pizza Pickup is London's only authentic Roman style pizzeria - very differe
This place has to be one of the best places in London for Pizza and it certainly is the best In Peckham! From start to finish the service was brilliant the owner, was welcoming, friendly, attentive and knew the menu like the back of his hand! The Pizzas arrived super quick and we didnât want them to end, you can really taste the fresh ingredients, there is no super sugary tomato sauce which I often find in pizza. Theyâre so tasty and I honestly canât wait to go back! If youâre looking for Pizza in Peckham, this is the place!

Where today you see The Prince of Greenwich is the historical Victorian "Albert" which changed its name during the last few years. It still keeps the charm and the integrity of this beautiful historical building, know with the décor from La Rosa Collectio
Walked in with family and was greeted by owner who couldnât do enough to make us feel welcome. He made sure we was ok.

Welcoming environment and cheerful service in this family owned little bistro. The limited menu mainly comprises basic Italian fare. However, the food is freshly prepared, served in generous portions, and is lusciously flavoursome. The coffee too is distinctly tasteful. Thanks

Authentic Italian for us always means the freshest ingredients that are rightly dictated by the season. Everything here is homemade and sourced with love and passion, from our daily landed fish to vegetables from New Covent Garden Market. The Chelsea Corn
The Chelsea Corner is a sleek and subtle conversion of a pub at the corner of the Fulham Road and Gunther Grove. Itâs a beautifully bright airy space whose relaxed yet elegant ambience is enhanced by comfy green beige chairs and walls painted white with flowers. The surroundings are almost a metaphor for the food here which is also simple, elegant yet also refined and accomplished. Itâs also excellent value for money my daughter choosing a starter of parmigiana di melanzane, a sort of vegetarian version of moussaka with aubergines in a cheese and tomato sauce which only the Italians can do so well. This was followed by a generous fillet of salmon in a cream sauce with fresh vegetables. This all for £12.95. I chose as a starter fried calamari which complimented the parmigiana di melanzana well followed by calfâs liver with a butter and sage sauce atop the creamiest of mashed potatoes. My wife chose a roast chicken Sunday special. Service was prompt, polite and attentive throughout.Dear futtock21Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a kind and thoughtful review. Delighted to read that you enjoyed our lunch set menu, Sunday roast as well as the overall visit at The Chelsea Corner. I have shared your feedback with the entire team, who are most grateful and all look forward to welcoming you back when your plans allow next. Kindest Regards Joni Lekaj
