Reviews on Italian food in Birmingham, England, United Kingdom. The geographical heart of England, Birmingham started life as a sixth- century Anglo-Saxon village. Today, much of this city of over a million dates back to post-WWII redevelopment in the 1950s and 60s. Cutting edge museums and galleries, innovative theaters and excellent shopping have contributed to Birmingham's appeal as a weekend break destination. Don't miss the hopping bars and cafes of Gas Street Basin or the fascinating creatures at the National Sea Life Centre.

Great little hidden gem located in what some would deem a odd location, being based in Birmingham there is no denying that Ladywood is an area in much needed redevelopment but it's places like Gustami that put it on the map for the right reasons! My wife and i have visited here on a few occasions, it just dawned on me that on our last visit i have yet to write a TA review..so here it is! This place is a small family run cafe place that sells some well made home cooked style Italian dishes that simply are great to eat and great on the wallet too. We've had the lasagna and various other pasta dishes as well as the pizzas and on all accounts they have been superb, and the vegetarian choices are also very good. The dessert is also really nice, we normally go for the tiramisu however this time around i went for the chocolate cake and it was lovely and the wife as per usual she didn't move away from ordering the tiramisu. The service was good, we've been both mid week and weekends and at all times its been good. Always worth a visit and when the bill came to £30 which included 2 mains 2 sides 2 drinks and dessert this was brilliant. Will always be back.Hi Mak_SingThank you so much for choosing our little ristorante caffe Gustami.

We serve fresh, modern Italian cuisine in Harborne, a beautiful and suburb on the outskirts of Birmingham.
Served in a highly professional manner, our experience at Buonissimo was one of fine dining. The main course I ordered was delicious, the Salmon with vegetables was exquisite. Overall the food was very good I would go again.

For us itâs all about the pizza. Just like in Naples, our dough is made on site every day, takes 24 hours to double ferment and just 60 seconds to cook. It is soft, light and floppy⦠so fold for strength or tuck in with a knife and fork. Enjoy.
A very good neapolitan pizza and very good value for money - 1 shared starter, 4 pizzas, 2 desserts all for less than £50.The starter was lovely with excellent mozzarella, the pizzas were thin, rustic and large. My only compliant would be slightly soggy in the middle but didn't affect my enjoyment.A no nonsense experience and I would go again - Mrs C and Junior C (him & her) were impressed too.

Sunday late lunch at this restaurant with freinds was amazing. Met up with freinds who use this Restaurant all the time. Such a freindly ,warm atmosphere ,and Susanne the Head Waitress made it so nice and welcoming for us. The meal was Delicious , beautiful flavours and very reasonable on price. The nice thing about this establishment is that you can see the very capable chefs ,prepare and cook your food if you wish ,through the gap to the kitchen area .Becoming a very popular venue now and really you have to book before you go as not to be dissappointed.I would say A Cut Above The Norm to describe this little Gem of a Restaurant. Also with this restaurant, you take your own drinks which keeps the cost down but worth every lira.

Sapore is an independent Italian restaurant in the heart of the Midlands.
Glass of wine has washing up liquid, replaced and refilled by waiter. Music loud. Meatballs starter in cheese sauce lovely. Veal dish was tough and very, very salty. Pasta dishes average. Really looking forward to trying this restaurant but would not return. Food was presented nicely though, shame about taste.

Located at the top of Broad Street, Del Villaggio brings the taste of Italy to every dish. Using nothing but fresh ingredients, our highly trained chefs make sure that every mouthful is as good as the last. Our pizzas are prepared to order using our stone
Outstanding food and very friendly service. Only (minor) criticism is the portion size for the penne dish which was rather small, but tasted lovely. We are glad that you enjoyed not only our food but also our service. In regards to the portion size, I shall talk with our kitchen team and pass this feedback onto them.

I first heard about Fogo through Instagram and decided to make a visit as I was really impressed with the photos of the food on their page.My husband and I love Italian food but have found many, if not most Italian restaurants outside of Italy are somewhat mediocre and are just not worth the money they charge so I was pretty excited when I found this independent Italian restaurant online. My husband tends to choose the restaurants we go to for our anniversary as heâs such a foodie and always chooses great places to eat. I decided however, to book a table for our 8th wedding anniversary at Fogo. I was slightly nervous in case it turned out to be like all the other restaurants we have been too but I was also excited as I had a feeling it would be everything I wanted it to be. On arrival, the restaurant is quite small but this made it feel cosy. The staff were very professional yet friendly and I loved the fact you could see the pizza oven & see into the kitchen (very clean I hasten to add!). We both had a starter & a main each and it was just amazing! You could tell everything was homemade and the flavours were just as they should be for an Italian dish. We both had spaghetti dishes but where I had a creamy sauce with mushrooms & king prawns, my husband had the fruits de la mer with spaghetti which had a good variety of different sea food. We will definitely be back as it really was an experience.

Fully customisable pizza's, freshly made in front of you, using only the best quality and local ingredients and finished with style. Pizza are priced from £6.95, with Design your own options allowing you to create exactly the pizza you want from an unlimi
As Italians, we went here with very poor expectations. We found very good quality ingredients on a super quick cooked pizza. The concept of making your own pizza in just 90 seconds is genious and is served with kind and nice staff. The choice to use sourdough is unconventional for true Italian pizza, so the taste results different, even if well balanced by the toppings. Thanks AndreaWe use sourdough because the natural yeasts together with a slow 48hour proof result in a very light eat that doesnât bloat your plus adds flavour to the doughGlad you enjoyed your pizza :)
