After our favourite Indian closed we have been trying to find an alternative without much luck! But we decided to give Taj Mahal a go after reading some good reviews and having been recommended. We had a takeaway on a sunday evening and it arrived promptly but one of our garlic naans was missing, I called the restaurant and I was told it would be with us shortly which we ate our popadoms and it then arrived! The food was tasty and plentiful and lots of flavour and the chicken was tender and cooked perfectly.I think we have found our new favourite Indian takeaway.

We recently tried this takeaway when the Spice Lounge in Wargrave was taken over by Haweli. ....as we thought the food was fabulous. We were delighted with the Hurst Tiger though.....easy online ordering and good delivery service. The food though is very good. ....you get the sense that it is not massed produced but authentic and also not greasy or oily which Indian food can sometimes be. We're now regular customers and have enjoyed trying various dishes. You won't be disappointed.

Sultan Palace now in its 17th year is the busiest Indian restaurant in Wokingham. An article in a local newspaper referred to the restaurant as having "Poppadoms in the Premier League". Where: In the heart of Wokingham, Sultan Balti Palace operates from a
The tables in the first floor of this restaurant are very close together despite the fact they have downstairs area which is rarely used. Service was slow and regular customers were obviously getting better service than us. It makes sense to look after regular customers but this should be seamless and not make others feel like an inconvenience. The food is OK but there are better Indian restaurant experiences to be had in Wokingham.

We dined here for dinner last week and ordered the Mixed Grill, Prawn Puri and a chicken curry (can't remember the name), poppadoms and rice - all of which were delicious and served hot. I really enjoyed the Prawn Puri for the starter. The service was very good and I would recommend this restaurant.

The food and the price of this place were excellent. The naan, poppadoms and chutneys were delicious. Portions sizes are very generous and service was quick, however slightly on the abrupt side. Will visit again for the tasty food but will lower expectations on service!

On entering the Tamarind Tree you are faced with a long dining room with tables either side and a central walkway. The welcome was fast and genuine taking us to our pre booked table. The menu contained the usual Indian fare at reasonable prices and was very enjoyable.
