Once again, we needed somewhere to eat Indian food. After extensive searching in Portsmouth, we came across this gem. Checked to other reviews, the pictures, Google maps and Street View. Looks good. Large tasty portions to please the most hungry of customers. Are a bit busy on the Friday evening but if you are in a car look for the Shoppers Car Park. It's off a side street opposite the restaurant. Free after 6pm.

Excellent meal, very good value, customer service first class. Found restaurant via tripadvisor, majority of reviews gave a glowing report and my wife and I were certainly not disappointed. Possible one of the tastiest Indian meals we both ever had. Thanks to all the staff

Four rather than five stars simply because the portion size is small, so it doesn't seem very good value for money. However, the quality of food is excellent and staff are very professional and courteous. If you don't have a big appetite, it's definitely a five star restaurant!

Indian Takeaway and Restaurant with fully licensed. 129-131 Elm Grove, Hayling Island, Hampshire, United Kingdom
I was impressed with the flavours of the meal I ordered. Staff friendly and helpful. The restaurant is small but nicely decorated. What I felt let it down was that the room felt cold. Granted I went early but it should have been warmer.

Having traveled from Nottinghamshire to stay at a local hotel, this restaurant was recommended to us by a local resident. A very good choice !

Darbar Restaurant provides an exceptional dining experience offering Muglai cuisine introduced to India by the royal kitchens of the Mugal emperors coupled with an array of cocktails, mocktails, beers, ciders and a wide range of wines chosen by connoisseu
I took my wife here as a birthday treat and we had a very nice time indeed. This is an Indian type restaurant like no other we have visited before. The chutneys were amazing (so different). The starters were even more impressive and the main meals were simply fantastic. Couple with this the nice cocktails and attentive service, its certainly a cut above other similar establishments. Definitely a restaurant to remember. We will certainly be returning for more.Note to management âPlease untie the WC assistance alarm cord so it reaches the floorâ

I had tried the buffet meal a year ago and was ill afterwards so reluctantly tried the restaurant again mid October, but from the menu this time. The menu was extensive and the food was delivered well and tasted very good. However almost immediately after leaving the restaurant I was violently sick so something I ate had been off, badly off. I eat curry food often and have not had this problem in other restaurants. Twice sick after Moghul food! No thank you so I wonât return.

We were greeted by friendly staff on arrival and escorted to our table. All the food we ordered was really excellent quality and very tasty. The 4 of us eating so we all tried each others dishes, a great way to try something new. I would certainly visit again with out hesitation. The menu was also more interesting than your bog standard Indian. Quite a few dishes I had not come across before. The waiters were also quite happy to make dishes hotter/less spicey if you required it. Really excellent service.
