This is a really good beach cafe which sells both fast food, ice cream, hot and cold drinks along with other beach ancillary items you might need. The hot food is cooked to order - fresh burgers and chips sitting on the sand is not to be missed, followed up by Cornish ice cream in the sunshine. The service is excellent with two friendly owners and they provide quick service even when busy.Good value and you can pay by card for orders over £5 as well.

Pass through the services daily as a trucker, decided to try the breakfast while on a trip out with the family, the coffee was the only thing that was hot, beans looked like they had been sat from the day before, signature roll was replaced with sliced white bread and cherry tomatoes replaced with cheap salad tomatoes, egg was partly raw.very poor.Hi Lee,Many thanks for your review and apologies that our big breakfast was not up to our usual high standards. We pride ourselves on serving only the best local produce and being an alternative to the other fast food sellers at the service station. Recently we have changed our menu due to customer feedback and swapped the cherry tomatoes to regular tomatoes and our toasted bap to sliced bread. My apologies that our staff didn't mention these changes on purchasing and i will ensure that they do from now on. Once again many thanks for your feedback

I used to visit regularly many years ago and revisited today. The food was absolutely disgusting.Old, bad tasting, and one of the eorst chinese I have ever tasted, I threw it straight on the bin after first mouthful..Would not recommend to anyone. After just a mouthful I was feeling sick and still am!
Definitely the best fish and chip shop around St Austell.Fish is made to order and the staff are really friendly. It's tucked away out of town, but worth finding for a weekend treat! It's near the top of Grove Road, in Gover.

Ordered two large chips to go with our tea, girl who took our order was quite rude unfortunately! Other two ladies were nice enough. We went in at 6pm on a Wednesday and nothing was prepared, had to wait about 15-20 minutes for the chips to be cooked. Chips were OK, they were mostly small ones and tiny dregs, portions were not generous at all - disappointing!

An excellent sandy beach with a stream running down it was only marred for us and the dogs by a strong wind. The beach was clean and the backdrop of Caerhays Castle added atmosphere. Sadly the café closed on the stroke of 3 so went without tea and cake.

On way back from Wheal Martyn to Padstow consulted Trip Advisor found rave reviews for the freshest pizza in, of all places, a service area. Decided to try and hey it's true. Gloriously thin hot fresh pizza tasty and scrummy. Quick and friendly staff. Sorry no photos too delicious to wait.

Nice clean restaurant if you want a sit down meal. The fish and chips and scampi were very fresh and tasty. The curry sauce was excellent. Very reasonable prices and even cheaper if you want a takeaway.

This is a small village gace specialising in fish and chips. It is rated by locals and visitors as the best in the county and it would be good to be able to say so on this site. There is no website, but I can say it does exist.
Lets start,The food is 10/10 the best in Cornwall. The staff are polite and helpful! The opening hours are a major major draw back and have left us stuck for food numerous times. The chip shop really needs to be open atleast 5 days a week. Most of the time they are on holiday and you would of driven miles to find that they are closed!Otherwise its a great chip shop and restaurantThe opening hours have been the same for 40 years . We hardly go on holiday we have 1 week in March and 2 weeks in Sept . We open 3 evening and 5 dinner times the times are stated in the window . Think we deserve to have a break after the busy summer periods we have. We always put a sign up in the shop a month before which is then put in the window when we go . To let people no.
