Stopped off here for lunch midway through our journey.Nice welcome but weâre told we could only eat outside as they were expecting a large coach party. It was a nice day, so we thought it would not be an issue. The only problem was the amount of wasps around, which slightly spoiled our visit. The staff were lovely and the food of a good standard.Overall a pleasant visit.

We had Sunday lunch with most of 2 families, so we seemed to have a large part of the restaurant and the inclement weather stopped people eating in the large garden. You need to book if it looks like rain. The restaurant is about 3 miles outside Stratford-Upon-Avon, so there is no problem with parking (Stratford town centrehas problems with limited time of an hour even on Sundays)The Sunday menu has a choice of roasts as well as vegetarian options. Between us we had most of the menu and it was cooked well and the staff were prompt and were already aware that one of our party needed to have a gluten free meal.Good value for the meals when compared to the hotels in central StratfordThe adjacent hotel is a new addition over the last couple of years. As locals we have no experience of its facilities but it is definitely worthwhile for a few meals here

Had been here for a couple of pints previously and decided to try out the food whilst we were in town. We ordered the Halloumi, whitebait, beer battered fish fingers and the black pudding & chorizo. All of the dishes were really tasty and itâs a great view whilst eating a bit of grub and having a drink. Weâll definitely be back.

This was our second visit to Salt, this first was just a few months after their opening and we were delighted to be back again to sample the delicious and creative cooking of Paul Foster the chef/owner.The food did not disappoint. Paul offers a choice of a 5 or 8 course tasting menu for evening service. My wife went for the 5 course and I went for the 8. There were a couple of dishes where you could choose between two dishes and in one instance I could not choose so ordered both for a small supplement so my 8 course became 9.Paul uses seasonal produce and ingredients so the menus had changed greatly from our first visit. I think there was only one dish still on the menu and as it was one of my favourites I was quite happy to try it again. My wife does not drink alcohol but I do so I decided to go with the wine pairings. There was so much effort put into the creation of these dishes I thought why not see what the chef and sommelier chose to partner each dish. I was not disappointed at all, It was a good choice and I got to sample some wines I may not have ever chosen myself including some English wines that I will certainly look out for.All I can say is WOW, totally blown away by Paulâs cooking! The creativity in the dishes he produces, the mix of ingredients and the marrying of flavours is just amazing. If you get the chance to go to Salt do go, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed, the Michelin Star Paul has earned in such a short time may well not be his last!

Came to 9 Church Street after reading the reviews on hereLovely little restaurant with friendly staffMonk fish starter, sea bass and pork mains were very tasty but a bit on the small side, potted chicken starter was more like a sandwich filling without mayonnaise, very disappointing Shame about the party at the other end of the restaurant who were rowdy and noisy throughout our meal which spoilt it for the 2 of us

We ate here for my husbands birthday. The welcome was warm and friendly and the table we were given was perfect. The wines on offer were very good. I had a couple of seafood dishes which were gorgeous, the prawns are the largest iâve ever had. The only disappointing element was my husbands lasagna was dry, he didnât really enjoy it. But everything else was very nice.

Love this place. I guess being so close to the theatre gives a sense of urgency and they didnât let us down.We stopped in for lunch and had a nice bottle of white wine to jolly up the day.Smoked salmon starter, beef goulash followed by ice cream. They were totally gluten free aware which was perfect. Just to make it tougher Iâm allergic to egg so had to pass on the Eton mess but my wife loved it! Perfect

A rather informal restaurant more like a cafe, but the food was excellent. Well prepared and delicious with friendly service. My only complaint was that it is a small restaurant and the tables occupied had rather noisey diners. I would go back again for the food just wishing the ambience was better.

Loxleyâs Restaurant & Wine Bar is an independently owned, family run business based in the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon.
Amidst all the multiples, good, individual restaurants are few and far between. On a busy Saturday night, we still managed a very enjoyable, relaxed meal. We all enjoyed the food and the choice was wide enough to please all our party. Particularly recommended: the cheese souffle, the lamb cutlets and the lemon sole.
