My favourite Turkish, pleasant staff and food is excellent. After five visits now they haven't disappointed on any level, even when very busy they have managed to find us a comfortable table to sit at.Do not confuse this restaurant with their competition down the road as there is no contest in my book, this is the best!

Great service from Sophie tonight. Very tentative and friendly. Pasta was really good. Not sure about the new Napoli style pizzas. Will give it another try with more cheese!Hi Steve171275,Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I will pass on your compliments to the team especially Sophie. We visited the tapas bar on Thursday evening, it was very busy in the front part but deserted in the back room where we were seated so lacked a little atmosphere, The service was very good with drinks & food served promptly. The house wine was reasonable and the food was well cooked and tasty.Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit with us. We really appreciate your kind words about the service and are pleased that you enjoyed the food and the house wine. We are sorry that you didnât get to experience the usual atmosphere that our customers know and love. We hope that we can welcome you back soon for a 5 star experience.Muchas Gracias Juliet el bar de tapas

Staff are friendly. I had the tiger prawns and steamed salmon, both were good. However, the portions were enormous, biggest I've ever seen in my life. Also, it seems that you have to have 2 or 3 courses where 1 course would have been fine

We specialize in charcoal grilled food that is healthy and simple. Our dishes have various influences from across the Mediterranean, from the olive groves of Greece to the tapas bars of Spain, a resulting in an exciting and distinctive blend of flavours.
This was a first visit and canât say we will be rushing back. The service is fine, but the food wasnât really up to much. The tapas dishes arrived within minutes of ordering so obviously preprepared and microwaved as needed. Wouldnât have been so bad if it was evenly heated - chorizo was burning hot and therefore hard as it was over cooked, albondigas were barely warm. Taste of all the dishes was okay but portions are small - not an issue if they are top quality, but these arenât. The main course we had was ok and freshly cooked, but you donât get a lot for your money - a £14 chicken dish is just a plate of chicken with some tomato and lettuce (although it was advertised as coming with mushrooms and peppers). The issue with mixing tapas and big plates is that those eating tapas had finished eating before those with main courses got their food. There are better places to go in Hitchin, and Iâm guessing the high rating comes from big groups who are looking for atmosphere and value rather than quality.

Lovely place to eat tapas. We had the £10 light lunch which included a small starter salad, choice of 2 skewers, including prawns, and a potato choice. A drink was also included. The server was polite and attentive. Definitely a great place to entertain.

I love it here and is one of my favourites in the area for a romantic meal or for bottomless ladies that brunch ! I have noticed in my last 2 visits the portion sizes however getting smaller and smaller although the price is not getting any smaller ! I love the food here and appreciate that tapas is small plates for sharing but the portion sizes not really matching the cost which spoils the experience especially as they used to be bigger portions. 1 pitta cut into thin strips not great with a table spoon of dip not enough for most peoples expectations . Please go back to the sizes you used to do and we will all be happy !!

I have walked past this place for a while and not stopped... but today did!! They do a Sunday-Thursday special deal... £13.95 for any starter and any main course (except lamb cutlets which are £2 more). All in all, we enjoyed our king prawn and falafel starter, and mixed grill and Turkish fajitas ... for todayâs price, great. The staff are very friendly and happy which is nice, and it has a lovely cosy decor. Iâve given it 4 out of 5 (very good) only because Iâm comparing this place to my favourite 5 out of 5 Turkish restaurant in Old Town Stevenage which is amazing.
