We had a late lunch at Casafina with our son and his girlfriend for a belated birthday celebration. So glad we chose Casafina - the food was excellent quality, with a menu that's not too big but has something for everyone. Good wine list and a range of spanish beers to choose from. We loved being able to see the food being freshly prepared as we waited, so we tried to choose a few plates from the menu which needed cooking there and then. The Gambas a la Plancha were really good. Definitely the best quality tapas I've ever had in Croydon - a bit pricier than Croydon is used to, admittedly, but great value for money in terms of quality. Nice friendly service, too - we did feel a little bit sorry for the lady behind the counter who seemed to be doing several jobs all at the same time, but she looked after us really well.

Really love this restaurant. Very romantic and very reasonable prices. Staff and service wonderful. The only thing that lets it down are the desserts, cannot quite put my finger on it but they are sub standard taste cheap and and not at all nice. We have tried quite a few and they are all the same poor quality. have been coming here for years and they never get any better. Really feel they need to change their supplier as its the only thing that lets this restaurant down. It's such a shame. Hope this is constructive criticism and that they change the desserts soon so that it is an all round perfect place to eat.

Three of us just ate here for lunch. We were all delighted and impressed with our meal. My mussels with linguine were the freshest, tastiest I have had other then when I have cooked them myself. It's our local restaurant and deserves to flourish.

This is such a cute restaurant! Small, quaint and full of traditional items to look it. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They have an extensive menu with a range of Mediterranean dishes and a handful of other cuisines i.e. pizza, burger... the price range is approximately £12-£20 give or take. The presentation of the food was great and it was quite tasty. Definitely will return. Make reservations for larger parties particularly weekend afternoons (not sure about weekdays).

We booked our table for 6, so excited as we were recommended it! I honestly was very satisfied and so were the other 5 family members. We choose different dishes and each dish was amazing I personally went for the crusted lamb shank it was mouth watering and cooked to perfection each one of us finished with clean plates. Our waiter Zsolt was very helpful as we had some dietary requirements, I had also preordered a cake for a birthday celebration and it was spot on The decor and interior of the place is very beautiful and chic. I must say all staff were very kind and hospitable. To start off we got our drinks and warm bread was served to us with butter and towards the end you are given a minted chocolate which to me is always a special touch. Keep going really enjoyed our experience.

No discount - lies - deception - would avoid. We chose to visit this restaurant to take up a 25% discount offer through Dine Card. Phone rang constantly engaged to begin with so couldn't get through to book. On arrival I made this clear & said I wished to use my Dine card. I spoke to barman and waitress about this showing them their restaurant, 25% reduction with the app. We ordered evening set menu. On payment at the end I was told two stories: discount not accepted on set menu from barman, (not specified in Dine Card app), & he called for waitress who said she didn't understand I was using Dine card and that I should pre-book. All this so we would not get a discount. This made for a sour end to what could've been a pleasant evening. I will not revisit.

Very busy morning. Where shall we four go for a late lunch at very short notice? The Chateau was nearby and there to welcome us into calm surroundings and atmosphere. No problem. Immediately a fresh table was laid up for us.Fixed menu was partaken. All the food was freshly cooked and served.A very pleasant lunch without any rush for us to leave. We each had different food from the menu and we enjoyed it very much. The manager (Farid) gave us his personal attention. We had value for money and will return for lunch.

Back to Little Bay today for lunch. We've been there many, many times and never been disappointed....until today. First, the good: the Sicilian service was superb: attentive, welcoming helpful and efficient and could not be bettered anywhere. The atmosphere was its usual relaxed quirky self. The Brunch value is excellent. The quite good: our lunch, albeit tepid and less than piping hot actually tasted very good. The definitely not good: there were only two other diners in the restaurant but it took nearly half an hour for our food to arrive. Just not acceptable. When it arrived it was not piping hot. Just not acceptable. The muffins were tough, hard and difficult to cut. Most items on the Brunch menu offer Hash Browns. We'd been seated for a good ten minutes after give our order before the ( really lovely and charming) waitress came to tell us that there was only one Hash Brown left in the kitchen and that one of us would have to choose something else. Just not acceptable: if you are missing a prime ingredient of most of the dishes on a menu you should just not continue to offer it. What a pity: we will go back again for the atmosphere and the lovely service and the evening atmosphere but will be wary of ever going back again at lunch time. It seems silly to open in such a half-hearted way at all....and it will drive customers away.

On Motherâs Day I managed to get a last minute table for three here at lunchtime which was fantastic. The lady on the phone really tried to help me out and I was very grateful. My mum and brother ordered lamb dishes and I decided to go for the hot meze platter, swapping the calamari and chicken wings for hummus and avocado salad. The restaurant didnât appear to be busy when we arrived but we did have to wait quite a long time for our drinks. When they were brought over, we were also given some complimentary delicious toasted bread, olives and balsamic vinegar with olive oil. All were very tasty indeed and Iâm very glad that they did give us these, as our mains did not arrive for well over one hour. There may have been a mix up, as the waitress asked if my meze was a main or a starter (after the order had been placed some time before) and we confirmed that all were mains. Even so, it was a very long wait. When the food arrived, we were all very pleased and found it all to be delicious. I particularly loved my meze of different things. It was only towards the end of our meal did I realise that the halloumi had been forgotten. When the waiter (or owner perhaps) came over, I mentioned it to him and he was very apologetic. He said he could get it cooked for me but as the meal was now over, I declined. In the end he said he would give me a discount because of the error. He was genuinely upset about the whole thing, but these things do happen. When we asked for the bill, he had indeed reduced it which was very good of him. This is a lovely, quaint and friendly restaurant. The food is consistently good (I have eaten here many times over the years) and I highly recommend it.
