Reviews on European food in Brighton, England, United Kingdom. Londoners have been traveing to Brighton for beach getaways ever since the railway arrived here in 1841. The pebbled beach, Brighton Pier's amusement arcade and the Royal Pavilion are the main sights, but you'll also find hundreds of pubs and clubs catering to an energetic crowd.

Family run tavern offering flavours from the Med by serving small plates, steaks & comfort food. A good selection of wine and beer. Loads of indoor seating & great out door seating, private room, family friendly, dogs welcome. Alfresco style in Lanes.
We spent two short breaks in Brighton and happily found this great restaurant. Very appealing from the outside with a mouth-watering menu. We had a couple of small plates to start and then both weeks had the lamb chops. Perfectly seasoned and tasted like you were on a Greek island!

The tasty food on offer ranges from handcrafted sandwiches, superfood salads, soups, smoothies, daily specials and a good range of vegan, gluten-free, nut-free and sugar-free alternatives
Small place where we stopped by during a summer visit due to TripAdvisor suggestion. Best sandwiches I had: all three we had were superb (beef, lamb, haddock). Tasty, crunchy, definitely local. Worth a visit, even because we spent just 20£. Super!

Petit Pois is a French Restaurant located in the heart of The Lanes. We are just steps away from a sea side, where our rustic interior gives you a warm and homely feeling with a charming atmosphere, it is a perfect venue for a romantic rendezvous or intim
Bright, cheerful, small french restaurant. We had duck rilettes, and goats cheese croquettes to start, followed by pork belly and raviolo, then shared two very good puddings. The food was lovely, and very tasty. The service was pleasant and efficient. This restaurant is quite noisy, but on a good way, everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves. This was a test run for us as we have booked for Christmas lunch. Now I'm really looking forward to it.

These guys can cook! Every dish I ate was faultless and comparable or better in terms of quality, presentation and tastiness of more pricey restaurants in Brighton. The staff were so warm and welcoming and the atmosphere was cosy, intimate and relaxing. We will be back for the monthly menu changes!

In Norfolk Square, The Gingerman Restaurant has a small, intimate dining room and a superb menu of modern British cuisine made with fresh, local produce. Full of unique character, the stylish restaurant possesses a great reputation within the city. With
We'd planned a brief trip to Brighton but Gingerman was fully booked in the evening. We went there to have lunch instead (from a lower cost but much shorter menu), asked about that evening and they said they'd fit us in if we came at 8.30. The staff were friendly and the food of the standard you'd expect from a place with a Michelin star. With a bottle of Bobal we had the pig cheek and clam chowder starters and for mains monkfish and partridge. All shared, for that tasting menu experience. A delicious evening and it seemed a very friendly place, staff and customers. We ended up chatting to the couple on the next table and the staff gave us a little 50th anniversary dessert.

We had a fabulous evening at TheWitchez, the food was fantastic, we had a range of dietary considerations within our group which were well catered for, nothing was too much trouble. Even the dogs were well catered for. Everyone enjoyed every course/element of our meal. The service was brilliant, Maddie took the time to explain the menu, and how the individual dishes could be adapted to our requirements. The surroundings were so relaxed, it felt like we were have a lovely dinner at home. I cannot recommend TheWitchez enough, they are passionate about what they do, and genuinely care about their customers. A real gem. X
