I highly recommend this restaurant. Food is wonderful and reasonably priced. We stayed in Shanklin for a week and were so impressed that we ate at Pavarottiâs 3 times. Youâll need to book, itâs usually busy, but we simply decided on the day and phoned to book during the afternoon. Eat downstairs for the best atmosphere.

Small restaurant but very friendly. Booking is probably essential at peak days. Had crab & lobster bisque to start and pan fried sea bass for main. Both absolutely delicious. With five others and they all thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Friendly staff

Dropped in Bank Holiday Monday during day trip to IoW, so glad we did. Good menu with variety of tasty choices, asked for childrenâs menu for my daughter but she fancied the Lasagne from the main menu - took our waitress seconds to check with Chef that they could do a childrenâs portion no problem. Really good food, & excellent service throughout from both waitresses & waiter who served us. Nice decor & good value too !Would really recommend this place to any couple or family looking for a nice all round meal.

We called without reservation, early (6pm) on a Thursday evening. It was clear that they had a lot of bookings, but found us a table. Everything was great; service, food and drink. Garlic bread starter was tasty. My main, piglet leg in peppers both looked and tasted wonderful. My wife had the sea bass, this was the same. For desert we had pannacotta and chocolate tarte. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would return without hesitation.

WORST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO!Went there for the first time, ordered 2 Flat White Coffees and 1 Mushroom Toastie. The restaurant takes your money when ordering and then you sit down.We waited over 25 minutes and received nothingI over heard the lady behind the counter say to a young lady she does not know what she is doing (I CAN AGREE WITH HER) when I noticed that another couple who came about 10 minutes after us and also waited quite sometime for their drinksGot their drinks before us (Enough was Enough)! So we went up to the counter and asked for a refund. The young girl was only going to refund us for the coffees she forgot about the Mushroom toastie, I had to mention it.They should not be allowed to run a restaurant No one knows what they are doing !I have never seen in all my life such a clueless establishment. We will NEVER go there again.I am disgusted, wasted just under half an hour of our time.WARNING I suggest you only go to this RESTAURANT if you have plenty of spare time on Your hands. They could have put this right by apologising then making our drinks straightaway and then bring the Toastie I ordered and then said this is on them for their total incompetence.Â

The Duck is a modern, British Restaurant on the Isle of Wight, specialising in using locally sourced produce. We serve contemporary dishes with a twist at lunch and dinner. We also have The Emporium upstairs where we sell the best product from The Isle of
The starters were good and well-presented but not feeling terribly hungry (and recovering from a respiratory bug) we opted for the vegetarian linguine and the vegan aubergine main courses. My partner reported that the linguine was rather tasteless while my aubergine was pretty terrible unfortunately. Simply baking an aubergine without any seasoning and serving it with vegetable accompaniments really is not on. If it were not for the minted crushed peas there would have been little taste at all. Both dishes appear to have been a carnivore's idea of what a vegetarian eats. It's a shame as the restaurant has a very pleasant interior and the staff are professional and attentive. While I can't vouch for the quality of the other dishes, these days the quality of the vegetarian ones really does need to be good. There are no excuses. As others have noted, the restaurant is hot. The evening we were there it was stuffy with all the windows tightly shut so really uncomfortable. When I commented on this to the waitress when I paid, she agreed. So why not do something about it?!

Smart venue with stunning panoramic views across the sea and light, New England-style decor with modern European cuisine.
Went for dinner - had window by veranda doors which were open and overlooking The Solent which was gorgeous. Food really good but what we received wasn't necessarily as per the listed menu item e.g. Scallops starter was perfectly cooked but came without Asparagus spears and I ordered the mussels with red Thai broth, chilli and spring onion but got a more classic moules mariniere with bacon and onion. However the mussels were cooked to perfection, plump and juicy and a large portion so I wasn't overly annoyed. Mackerel on the bone was extremely good - large fish and again perfectly cooked. Wine list small but more than adequate - I recommend the Picpoul white. Serving staff were lovely and attentive.

Based in the heart of Bembridge village, Lockslane is a small and intimate restaurant, seating a maximum of 20 guests. We buy local where we can, with our fish, meat and majority of our fruit and veg coming from right here in the village. We are open Wedn
First visit since change of owners. Retains its intimate atmosphere and service is perfect and welcoming. The food is well cooked, but somehow lacks the lightness of touch of the previous chef and presentation is only average. A much more rustic style. Feels a little like a talented chef playing it too safe.Only other issue is the placement of the coat hooks directly outside the open kitchen. Having coats dry cleaned to eliminate odours is quite an overhead!Remains a cut above any restaurant in the East Wight and, with some small tweaks, has the potential to rival the best on the island. We will return. Recommended. Many thanks for your review, weâre glad you enjoyed your evening with us and hope to see you again next time. With regards to the coat hooks, it is an issue that we are aware of, and are in the process of remedying. Many thanks,R&J
