Visited today with my toddler and a friend with her toddler. Quite busy, tables either taken or covered with the previous persons plates/cups. However someone quickly cleared a table for us and we ordered. I had my toddler with me to order and she just wanted to explore, so I carried her to table and the lady serving me offered to carry my tray over for me to which I was very grateful. Food was nice, little expensive for what you get but nice. Orange hot chocolate was great, wish this was there all the time and not just around Christmas.

Visited for the first time today. The chocolate brownie was amazing and my coffee (latte) was one of the nicest Iâve ever had! The cafe area is nicely set up, was nice and quiet when we visited. Highly recommend a visit!
A cafe in the grounds of Stafford crematorium. Lovely little cafe with a lovely lady serving who makes all the cakes herself. Well worth a visit for nicely presented drinks and good food. Also caters for private functions and wakes on site which, if the thank you cards are anything to go by, must be very well done.

This is mainly a complaint about that manager working that night, so hereâs what happened, the place was pretty busy and there were multiple groups of people eating food from other shops in the area EG: Chinese or dominos, I myself had bought a Chinese and was sitting outside only for the manager to come out and aggressively shout at me telling me I canât eat it as itâs from another place , I remained completely calm and acknowledged it straight away for him just to continue to behave like a child. I told him to calm down and he made additional threats to kick me out even though I was polite sand respectful. 5 minutes later I went into the bar and told him the way he spoke to me was unacceptable, he simply remarkedâ my pub my rulesâ, I know for a fact itâs not his pub as itâs part of a chain. I then explained there were multiple groups of people doing the same thing I was and that it was unfair to single me out, he then said heâd deal with it and went over to the other groups, instead of shouting like he did at me he decided to stand and have a laugh and a joke with them well I sat there in disbelief. The only reason he shouted and threatened me is because Iâm 18 and Iâm still regarded as not really an adult, when it came with dealing with blokes as big as him he was nice and polite. Coward. I would not recommend the bod in Stafford due to his behaviour. The rest of the staff team were polite unlike him. The date was 29th June 2019, just so his manager can read this and knew who was working that night :).

Four of us went in for lunch at around 1pm. The tea room had a lovely, homely feel and was reasonably busy. The décor was attractive and the background music was subtle. All the staff were helpful and friendly. I had a chicken tikka sandwich which was spicy but not too strong, in fresh white bread, and it came with a bit of salad and some crisps. My tea came in a pretty china pot with a bone china cup and saucer, and a timer so that I knew when it was properly brewed - a very nice touch! Other members of my group had tartlets which came with salad and coleslaw, and dressing in a separate jug (much appreciated so they could choose how much or how little to have!). And lastly the fourth person had a focaccia bap with ham and mustard. They said that the bread was excellent and the quality of the ham was great. Their only vaguely negative comment was that they couldn't taste the mustard dressing. Espresso coffee, cappuccino and hot chocolate were all good quality. We all had cake to finish off: a yummy, moist chocolate cake with a good quantity of butter cream, a freshly baked pastry which was very well received, and I had a gingerbread man (only 30p because they were missing bits!!) which was deliciously spicy and I could have eaten lots of them!! Our bill came to around £30 for the four of us. Overall we were very impressed, very happy with our visit, and would definitely visit again.

Our Lounge is a home from home, offering delicious food and drinks, all day
Came for a snack on Sunday. Not busy, less than half full. Ordered 40 minutes ago....still waiting! I've been up to ask where our order is and told 5 more minutes, no apology. Kids getting very restless so wouldn't recommend for families. Also the music is very loud and intrusive, feels more like a night club. Maybe better for young couples with lots of time and better hearing than me!Update: still waiting since writing this review. We have at least had an apology now.Hi Clarec688, Thank you for your feedback. I am very sorry that you didn't receive the experience we aim to delivery on a daily basis to all guests. The weekends are our busiest time of the week, We are constantly looking at new ways to tackle any waits on food or drinks & I am sincerely sorry that you and your children had to endure a long wait. I will feed this back to the team & we hope to see you and your family again soon. Kind Regards, Verso x

The Soup Kitchen, at the top of Church Lane overlooking St Maryâs Church, has been run by the Sandy family for over thirty years. We pride ourselves on our freshly cooked food and are so flattered that folk keep coming back time and time again to visit us
Went there for afternoon tea on Saturday and as always nothings changed , the whole experience was amazing the staff are always cheerful and happy to help ,we have tried others but there is no comparison to the best THANKYOUMore and more folk are taking afternoon tea here with us Mike and I am so pleased that you found it all 'amazing' when you came in on Saturday. To deem us to be the best - with no comparison - has made my day and thanks for writing that, and indeed for rating us so highly on here. As an aside we have just commissioned a private room upstairs and already it has been booked for an afternoon tea party which I gather was a great success. I sincerely hope that you will continue to visit us.Kind regards from Duncan Sandy and all who help me here at The Soup Kitchen.
