Having visited quite a few times now I've concluded there are better places to get a sandwich. For the breakfast sandwiches I've had the bread has often been quite dry and the bacon or sausage not a great quality or overcooked. Other sandwiches have been okay but for the money I'd expect the fillings to be a bit more generous. A bit disappointed as was hoping for better.

As a indépendant cafe, we pride ourselves on providing organic, fair trade tea and coffee. We work with local dairy suppliers and bakeries to source the freshest, highest quality offerings.
We called in the week before & loved the cafe and guinness & chocolate cake so much we went back on Saturday for breakfast. They don't allow dogs inside the cafe but have a few tables outside so we sat under dark clouds, fingers crossed it didn't rain. We ordered coffee, the clouds opened so we moved our table under the alcove between the bay windows, at least we were dry! We ordered eggs benedict (swapping the muffin for sourdough bread)& potato cake & smoked salmon & 2 more coffees. The waitress brought the potato cake...........I asked my partner to start after 5 minutes as it was going cold. A couple of minutes later my eggs benedict came which was nicely presented but it was cold. had it been forgotten about? 2 more coffees then came, but as the waitress hadn't taken the earlier cups when she left empty handed she then had nowhere to put the next ones. We put down our cutlery & assisted. Okay, it may sound as if i'm finding fault, but it is the little things that make all the difference. The food is tasty, but serve it warm. The service is okay, but should be good. The menu has so much choice & all looks great on paper, sort all the other bits out & this will be the best cafe in Ilkley, it's just not quite there yet. Thanks for your very detailed and specific feedback following your recent visit. Iâm sorry that there were a few examples of us not meeting your expectations as we do strive to deliver excellent food, drinks and service to all our customers. I hope your experience does not deter you from visiting us again in the future.

The whole place exudes quality: beautifully built and decorated, terrific location and overall great food. Simple variety of open type sandwiches, nicely presented and tasty. The pizza was excellent. Good size portions. Should also mention the friendly staff, very attentive and pleasant.

Called in here mid afternoon for coffee and cake. We were extremely pleased with the choice of home made cakes on offer and they all looked delicious. My wife chose one and trust me, if she enjoyed it, it must be good. Julie, the proprietor was very friendly and we had a good chat with her about Ilkley and places to stay. The young lady serving with Julie was her first day but you wouldnât know as she seemed to fit right in.We will return because the food being served looked really good and the friendliness of our welcome was second to none.

Visited Wells Bistro for dinner in Saturday night and we all loved it. It's a tiny place and almost felt like we were having dinner on our kitchen...in a good way! Very friendly, relaxed atmosphere and great food. Small portions but that's to be expected these in most places tbh. Will definitely be going back for smoked haddock scotch egg and sticky ginger pudding with marmalade ice cream!

Serving Freshly cooked vegetarian food and cakes including gluten & dairy free.Freshly ground coffee, loose leaf teas and fresh fruit smoothies. All served in beautiful surroundings within the spa town of Ilkley.
Our first attempt to eat here saw us turned away as they were fully booked - even at mid-day! Two pre-booked visits later, the food is consistently excellent, tasty, varied and inventive; from snacks, to main courses and the cakes. A relaxed yet stylish cafe, with very friendly helpful service.
