We were walking our dog in Hastings Country Park when we saw the sign to the tea rooms and decided it would be nice for a tea. It is a lovely place, with a varied menu and a Specials Board. It also said it was dog friendly, even better . There is seating outside but it was rather a chilly day so we were able to take our dog inside. We ordered a pot of tea for two and two toasted sandwiches, choice of white or brown with 2 or three fillings in them and quite a selection of different fillings. They came with salad and crisps on the plate and were very nice. A nice pot of tea too.Very friendly staff and we noticed a lot of cakes (we resisted!) They also have some cards and crafts on sale. Well worth a visit .There is limited parking when it is busy but it is very easy to leave your car in the country park car park and walk through an alleyway, just a minute away.

The Red Pig is unique. It has a small but varied menu. I had the much acclaimed Pett Leveller, others had Moroccan Lamb & Halloumi with Lentils & Red Cabbage. All were delicious & good value. Street food at it`s best!Thank You Neil H you're obviously a man of great discernment and taste (less of the grovelling already). We like to keep it simple. May the force be with you.Andy

Welcome in our cafe! We serve English breakfasts, omelettes, burgers, pastas as usual a cafe does. BUT, we serve HUNGARIAN lunches and HUNGARIAN desserts such as Beef Goulash or Chicken Paprikash. We are NOT restaurant, that is way we can keep our prices
This is a great place, the decoration is full of rustic charm. The service was really good and as for the food, delicious. The ingredients were top quality and beautifully prepared. Although not locals we will make the effort to go back. Would definitely recommend

Welcoming cafe serving both traditional English cooked breakfasts together with Thai food and new dishes on rotation every week. Quality coffee also available from 7am. The menu will be updated on a regular basis and a new autumn menu and evening takeaway
We came across this little cafe during a rain storm. It looked like any other greasy spoon from the outside but did the most amazing Thai food. The lady serving/cooking said she was Thai so obvious knew what she was doing. The selection is quite small, about 3 starters and 5 main courses but was plenty enough to choose from as we could anything with King Prawn ,chicken or vegetarianDear Thai Foodie, Thanks for your kind words. We will be adding additional items to the Thai menu soon but if there is anything you would like to see included please let us know. We can make the food as spicy or mild as you like.

We popped in here for a family breakfast before heading home on the last day of our bank holiday weekend. We ordered three full English breakfasts and we were not disappointed. Cooked to perfection, and the toast is from "proper" bread. Service is excellent too. We will definitely visit again next time we are down.

We love this part of Hastings, and this adds to the pleasure. Nice little cafe, friendly and a bit quirky. Superb eggs benedict and scrambled eggs for breakfast while watching the world pass by outside. Part of the quirkiness is that payment is cash only.

On The Rocks is a great place to come to for the regular entertainment they have, particularly various drag queens. We have always found staff to be pleasant and efficient, although now under new management so understand there are new staff. The crowd is always lively and up for a good time.
