Bought the kids here for a bite to eat after bowling just round the corner itâs so reasonably priced and a good choice on the menu for kids. Both kids enjoyed their food and were happy they could get a hot chocolate. Just makes a change from some of the fast food places.

We found Poppins online while staying in Eastleigh, and decided to have breakfast. It is welcoming and cheerful inside, with different sections if you prefer sofas over chairs. The menu was extensive, offering what looked like solid, sensible, meals for a variety of tastes. Our choice fell on the "Late Breakfast" - two rashers of bacon, mushrooms, half a tomato and a fried egg on a slice of fried toast - with hash browns and black pudding added as extras. I had a hot chocolate and my boyfriend had cappucino. The food was delivered quickly, and was delicious. Thick rashers of bacon, hash browns crispy without being overdone, eggs just nicely runny, black pudding slices with good texture and flavour. My hot chocolate was excellent, and I was assured the cappucino was just as good!Everything looked to be spotless and well-maintained, and the staff were all pleasant and friendly. I would definitely come back!

Two of my closest friends and I have frequented this cafe for a while now. Itâs a cozy place in the neighbourhood, easy for us all to meet up at. We know the food well - itâs below average and takes an age to arrive but weâve never minded that. Until today. Deadpan service when they eventually came over to our table, a plate of food arrived and then was taken away without explanation, our order was wrong which they offered to replace in fairness but it took so long to arrive in the first place (20 minutes) that there was no point. After this happens, itâs hard to look past the mediocrity of the food and staff. I thought that explaining that the experience wasnât up to par and asking for a quarter off of our bill would be within reason. Apparently not. Couldnât get a word in edge ways with the clown who was running the till whose only response was âwe offered to replace the drinks you orderedâ and couldnât even muster a single apology. Was not budging on the bill worth losing regulars? You tell me. Weâd have been back if it wasnât for you buddy. Bye.Thanks for your review.First of all, everything was perfect in your order and on time. You ordered banana milkshake and has received chocolate milkshake which you were agree to have it on when we asked to replace the milkshake. Secondly , we have mistakenly given the pancake which was not ordered by you and has taken from your table and said sorry that was not your order. Everything was right in you still wanted discount from your order which is not right as we have explained to you and applogised. Many thanks Hursley Cafe

A traditional tearoom selling homemade cakes and freshly made sandwiches catering for cream tea and afternoon teas.
Came here with a group of work friends for afternoon tea. Sandwiches and scones were lovely and the cake was delicious! The tables are quite spaced out which was nice as Iâve been to other tearooms where you are all squeezed in together and can barely move. Good atmosphere. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Would recommend to others.

New Italian cafe in Eastleigh
Absolutely terrible service. Ordered one salmon and one pizza when nobody else was in the cafe. Two other couples came after us and left before we even had our main. The pizza wasn't freshly prepared it was frozen and the salmon was over-salted. The entire menu is expensive and not worth the effort.

Literally obsessed with Speedys burgers. Originally recommended by a family member as a one off hangover cure, it then became a huge player in the office âfat Fridayâ location and now I find myself just choking on a huge burger on a Tuesday. Great food, great service and reasonable prices. Youâve got a friend for life here Lee. See you next week (or tomorrow, probably)! :O Always welcome at Speedy's :)

We come here for breakfast regularly and it is always good. Some times the food is great and sometimes itâs just good. I always have the same and the sour dough bread is fantastic but portion sizes vary massively . From what I have learned the food is mostly locally sourced. They have a great gin selection as well. Great atmosphere and great place to relax and enjoy a morning off. They have free Wi-fi which is expected nowadays. Can get a little cold in the winter with the old doors not fitting very well.Thank you for your 5* and great review and we are glad you have enjoyed your breakfast. We source and use local ingredients wherever we can.The portions sizes should always be the same each time so please do let us know if that is not the case as this so we can rectify it at the time.Hope to see you again soon

Originally and still is a butcher shop, selling locally sourced free range meats, we look for traditional breds which produce great flavour and then age the meat to increase tenderness. Now has a bistro/ steak bar added, with a meat led menu, many prize w

I visited Miss Ellieâs Café for the first time recently & was impressed by the friendly atmosphere and warm welcome. The menu had enough choices to give many appealing options but not so many that it could not all be freshly cooked.I had sausages, mash & vegetables. When it arrived the presentation was impressive, the quantity rather generous, to say the least and the food excellent. The sausages were succulent, meaty and tasty - unlike some where the cereal content makes it questionable whether they should be served with mustard or marmalade.I was still in the area the next day so dined there again. I was recognised & warmly welcomed back. Some of my fellow diners had been there the previous day, & later arrivals were greeted by name so were obviously regulars - and regulars are always a good sign.I had slow roast lamb shank with mint sauce, gravy, duchesse potatoes & vegetables. The presentation, quantity and quality were as before. The gravy & mint sauce mix was so tasty that I asked for a spoon to scoop up as much as I could. A spoon was provided along with a totally unexpected but welcome offer of some bread & butter to mop up the mix.The jam roly-poly with custard for pudding was to the same excellent standard. The price charged for the quality, presentation & quantity represents the most impressive value I have encountered for years.I have paid a great deal more for smaller helpings of inferior food elsewhere and if in the area again will certainly return to Miss Ellieâs.Wow thank you for a fanatastic review, we are so pleased you enjoyed your meals with us, we have an ever changing menu so hope to see you again when you are next in the area.
