Love this small cafe that offers everything you might want in an eating establishment. The staff are friendly, they offer quite a wide range of dishes some low calorie dishes for those on slimming world type diet, good for meeting friends and child friendly.
This place is a genuine local facility that is a credit to the catering trade. The food is fresh, very well priced and tasty. They also sell duck food so that you can feed the wildfowl on the water. The cafe is also kept absolutely spotlessly clean despite being very busy at peak times. This is a small locally owned. Cafe come coffee shop and we need to frequent places like this in order to ensure that it is not just the corporates of this world who survive.
Gretton is a quiet village perched on a hilltop In the beautiful Leicestershire countryside. Today the Flying Scotsman flew by so the village was mobbed and luckily we arrived after watching the majestic engine fly along the viaduct a few miles east. Lydia's is a wonderful tea shop run by a Christian charity but not in an 'in your face way'. There is a prayer room should you want it and fairtrade products too.Today wonderful cake, a super bacon roll (well filled), a latte and Americans all for £8.We sat on the benches next to the village stocks just on the green adjacent to Lydia's but there is wonderful seating inside.

Concerned that cutlery is stored in containers with the handles down and spoon bowls, knife blades and forks facing up. It means that it is impossible to collect cutlery without touching the 'business end' of other items of cutlery while doing so. I have raised this issue with head office and thought it had been rectified, but on a visit today, the Corby cafe had reverted to their old ways. As I am not confident on other diners having total hand cleaning regimes I will not be visiting again.

Since moving to Corby for work I have discovered Tuckers. food is great with specials of the day and a great fry up. It is the place for a good meal and choice. ranging from Fajitas, Lasagne's, salad boxed and jacket potatoes (healthy options too). The chicken and leek pie is a MUST!Staff are very friendly and within the 1st visit you get addressed by name and very well looked after.I visit this place AT LEAST once a day :)

I had the pleasure of popping in here while working in Corby - parking directly outside is a massive bonus! Excellent service from the well dressed staff - food ordered and delivered piping hot very quickly. I had a the Full English breakfast (with coffee and toast) and to be honest it was too much to eat ... mega meal. They also do a Scotish beakfast plus a menu of hot and cold snacks. Before I left i picked up some cake slices for later on - best Victoria Sponge I have ever tasted. I will be back!!!! Love the decor and the sofa's in the windows - just like Friends! Super fast Free Wifi also !
This cafe is located on the main road through the village The menu is based mainly on cooked traditional breakfast The food is well presented and not too greasy for fried food Nice food Cafe is nice and clean inside and out Plenty of seating inside and out Good parking Only takes cash which is surprising as it is not the cheapest so make sure you have cash or pay the fee from the machine across the road I would use this cafe again

Tried the new 100% chicken sandwich today, it was fantastic. So much better than anything from McDonald's. Lovely staff and great service.

I've ate breakfast here a few times now and I'm going again next month. It's always a fab breakfast and it's cooked to order so it's always fresh and hot. I always have a small cooked breakfast which is actually not that small at all.The staff are very friendly and seem really happy in their jobs. I can't wait for my next visit.

Tea Jenny Cottage is a vintaged themed tea room. We serve breakfast and lunch throughout the day alongside our gorgeous homemade cakes. We serve loose leaf tea in china cups and fresh grounded coffee. Our Afternoon Tea is also a popular option for a custo
The tearoom is a lovely quaint little cottage. No onsite parking, but there is a free car park around the corner, opposite the post office.this was our 2nd visit. The first time we were seated upstairs but I didn't review on that occasion as the owners were changing just days so it wouldn't have been fair. The cottage is small and dainty, very intimate but you can hear everyones conversations around you! The food was lovely. May daughter had a cheese sandwhich, I had lovely chocolate orange cake which was amazing - the portions are a little small though, I could have eaten a 2nd slice!Overall, very nice and enjoyable, I would go there again.
