I have been going to George's for many years, although it's not the best café in the world, it's definitely a lot better than average, the service is fast & friendly. Bacon is good quality, rolls are nice and fresh, the coffee is good and the prices are reasonable.

Best thing about this place was leaving! Partner had a cheeses baguette didnât come with any butter wasnât asked if he wanted dry bread I have the vegetarian breakfast I asked for scrambled eggs. The food was placed in front of me I had to ask where my eggs was? They was the only hot thing on the plate everything els was undercook Vegetarian sausage is not what they gave me they gave me some sort of mash thing tomatoes fried and was like water no taste Very disappointing Avoid and keep clear! We seen 5 plays of food returned while was in the place. The guys was to busy flirting with 15 year old mum with a 2 year old child that to âcookâ food!

Pleasantly suprised at the menu, a good selection of Italian dishes and English dishes, from small to bigger meals, visited whilst meeting up with friends and all the food including pizza, jacket potato and quiche, served were good sizes, prices and served nicely, would definitely visit again, staff were all polite and personable, I liked the atmosphere and the seating and tables were well set out.

Since starting work in the area we have been coming here for breakfast quite regularly and this place never disappoints. The service is so quick that you are sometimes just sitting down after ordering and your food arrives! There is a real cross section of people in here from builders to couples, families, older residents, emergency services which just shows you that the place must be good as it is always so busy.

Often use this cafe in Basildon for lunch and evening dinner. Itâs Turkish owned so food is English with a few Turkish dishes. All freshly cooked with nice size portions. Owner and staff are lovely. Would recommend, food is good, and this little cafe has lots of regular customers.

If you like simple good food cooked well with big portions then the dream cafe is brilliant. The menu has an exceptionally wide range of options, vastly more than most places yet they are so well organised that they can still serve anything from the menu in good time. It's a popular place and you only have to look at empty spaces in the other restaurants in the area to see that the dream cafe is the one most people go to.Brilliant place and nice people running it.

The lady serving was out back smoking and saw me waiting at the counter. She came to the counter stinking of fags and took my order. 1 pie and 2 mash. Without washing her hands she removed a pie from the foil tray and placed it on the plate then dolloped the mash and liqueur. The pie was hard as old boots and pretty burned. And I cringed at the thought of eating it after she had been smoking and touching other non food related items so I just ate some mash and left.

Lunchtime visit as had been recommended at work to visit here. Lovely clean bistro, friendly staff and huge menu to choose from. Friend and I had jacket potatoes which were big and very filling with a side salad. Would definitely come back again without hesitation.
