One of the Isle of Wightâs most unique eateries; serving a selection of freshly cooked British gastropub classics, and an extensive range of hot and cold drinks, against the backdrop of an affectionately converted Swiss barn at Tapnell Farm, surrounded by
We visited whilst staying at Tapnell Farm and was pleasantly surprised to have such a great restaurant on site. It has a great menu with lots of choice and family friendly. There is a great outdoor space too. Thanks for your review - look forward to seeing you again soon!

I have not been for a few months but am happy to report that nothing has changed. The sirloin steak was excellent in both size and quality. The fries and interesting salad were good as ever and as much as you can eat. Desserts polished it all off with a smile on my face.

We were greeted by a very friendly and funny barman. We ordered dinner, which was delicious, and were looked after by a lovely waitress. We didnât need pudding but they were too tempting to resist! Am glad we didnât resist as they too were delicious. The landlord chatted to us and recommended a few places to visit. Overall an excellent evening. Thank you!

We called here having been on the Steam railway and it was a gem of a find. Friendly staff and a great choice of food. We had prawns in a rose Marie sauce in white bread, Two lamb pies, with lots of lamb in and two ploughman's. All very good portions. Possibly the best meal we had on the Isle of Wight. £42.06 for five of us including drink it was very good value

An intimate restaurant tucked away in the old town of Cowes.
Tiny but tremendous! A real family business with all the care youâd expect. Limited menu but offers something for everyone. The best meal Iâve ever enjoyed and we eat out a lot! Lovely relaxed pace as no turning of tables every 2 hours. Extensive wine list, lovely atmosphere, fabulous food, small but perfectly formed. A must if in Cowes!

Cafe is located in what was Yarmouth railway station (line was closed in 1953) and a short walk from ferry terminal. The original track now forms part of the Island cycle network (adjacent is a cycle hire shop). Itâs a great setting with plenty of indoor and platform seating from where you can look out over the marsh area. Good selection of food options at reasonable prices. Cafe closed Monday and Tuesday but worth seeking out when open.

Guilty as charged with loving the food and service at Mojac's, the duck, chicken, veggie dishes, and beef pastry were all terrific and don't miss the "nibbles" or the ice cream for dessert. Luckily we had to walk to and from the restaurant to where we were staying on the Isle or we couldn't/wouldn't have eaten so much - but it was just so good. The owner and staff are very attentive and we always were able to reserve and sit at the table in the window so could not have enjoyed our evenings out more. Was a high point of our stay.

Thompson's is a contemporary 'open kitchen' restaurant offering a delicious modern British menu inspired by the flavours of the Island and Chef Robert Thompson's experiences. This original dining concept features kitchen view tables downstairs with a more
We booked Thompson's based on an internet search and reading TripAdvisor reviews, as we live in the north of England. We'd had a lovely day with beautiful summery weather and a trip to Osborne, and our visit to Thompson's rounded off our visit beautifully. We had the tasting menu, which was superb in every respect. All staff were friendly, relaxed and very knowledgeable. The food was beautifully presented and prepared, and also gave us an opportunity to try things we wouldn't attempt at home, such as cuttlefish 'tagliatelle'. I mentioned to the waitress that I wasn't a big fan of parmesan, but it wasn't a particular issue, and voila, the kitchen staff made sure my meal was tailored to my tastes, even preparing some gnocchi to replace an element of one dish. Oh, and the we have to mention the quirky cutlery, the good quality Riedel glasses ( yes, we use them at home ), and the complimentary amuse buche and pre-ssert.
