Warwick's Best Kept Secret. A true canal side real ale pub. The water is a few feet from the front door, adjacent to Cape top lock on the Grand Union Canal. Open & Serving Food All Day Every day from 12. We have 3 permanent real ales & 3 ever changing gue
Having noticed the two consecutive comments with superb in the title, I just had to add to this chorus of approval with my own experience of the Cape. My first impression was one of extraordinary cleanliness and an attention to service that would put many high class establishments to shame. The waiting staff were at the top of their game, with the food being artistically presented and utterly scrumptious. And such a variety of top quality meals that we were literally spoiled for choice! If you want old school charm with the utmost professionalism, a pristine environment, utterly delicious food, and a management team that are second to none, look no further than this pearl among pubs. Well worth a visit!

We booked Lighthorne Pavillion Cafe for our mumâs wake in May. All we can say is that Ben and his team did us proud. The food served was delicious and plenty to go round. Tea and coffee was served in vintage crockery which helped to make it all just perfect. The sun was shining so we were able to sit both inside and out. Thank you so much for making a very sad day a pleasant one.

Stylish Gastro Style Pub Serving Local Real Ales and Fresh Food Sourced Locally. Traditional Pub Classics And Fresh Fish Dishes
We had a really nice cajun chicken meal here, staff were lovely and price was reasonably good. So much better than a meal we had in old square the previous night.

A traditional English pub within a stones throw of the Grand Union Canal and a gentle stroll from the Birmingham and Stratford-upon-Avon canal Kingswood Junction. The ancient pub is nestled in the center of the tranquil village of Rowington, in the heart
Really disappointed, my farther booked a table a week prior to our booking, for my birthday meal, he confirmed on the phone the amount of people eating and the member of staff went as far to confirm they had a large booking in the restaurant but would give us a lovely round table in the conservatory, which we agreed to. On arriving at the pub we were told âWEâ had not booked it correctly, on trying to see if they could accommodate us as intended, as the conservatory was empty of diners at this point we were told we could not pull extra chairs to the table, all the manager wanted to say was whilst banging a menu against her hand was that her staff were correct not us. We have been regulars and recommended this pub on numerous occasions, sadly we will not be back, we went off to another very popular place locally who could not be more accommodating. Sad really. Iâm sorry you feel this is what happened, however I would like to clarify that I was in fact there when my supervisor of 2 years took the booking with your dad, she confirmed we had a table of 4 in the conservatory which is a nice round table, in fact the only round table in there which has always been a table of 4. I also prompted her to make sure you were aware of the larger booking around the same time to ensure you were aware of possible delays due to our food being cooked fresh to order. My supervisor as all my team are expected to do so, read the booking details back, confirming time, numbers and date. I personally heard all of this, hence why I confirmed with you on the day the day that I can vouch it was most definitely booked for 4 people. If we could of accommodated you we most certainly would, Iâm sure youâd agree no business owner would willingly turn away potential takings. But those âfree tablesâ you mentioned, were all booked for the guests due to arrive within the next 45 minutes for that sitting as we had just finished our first sitting and were in the process of receiving our next guests. We even had a waiting list of people in the bar in case tables became available, therefore I would not of been able to take chairs from them when they had booked also? Iâm sorry you feel this wasnât handled well, however whoever we first spoke to was quite rude with us, and despite not being the person who had originally made the booking was not prepared to listen to us and expected us to take other guests chairs which I obviously was not prepared to do, I was not even given the chance to suggest our nice outside tables which we would of as a one off, given full table service to, as she stormed out! (We do not usually offer table service to tables outside) I do however hope you enjoyed your meal elsewhere but afraid there wasnât much else we could do due to the popularity of our weekends and we had reserved a table for the numbers originally requested. Kind RegardsCharlie

A quintessential English tea rooms in a beautiful tudor house set against the wall of Warwick Castle
Stopped here with friends for tea and a scone. Fantastic selection of teas and delicious free refill coffee. Star of the show was the scone which was huge which is in fairness how it is described on the menu. We had a fruit scone with cream and jam and could not eat it all so took some home. Great atmosphere and fantastic seating on two floors. We sat upstairs.

Having been around the Lord Leycester Hospital, we decided to round off our visit with a cream tea. Very glad we did. The scones, freshly baked every day were moist and fruity. A quality strawberry conserve. Proper clotted cream and a garnish of fresh strawberries. Brilliant service from a friendly family run business.

To be honest we hadn't heard of Tailors restaurant before our daughter surprised us with a birthday treat she organised. What a little gem of a restaurant. It's relatively small with a cover for approximately 28 people but has a lovely relaxing ambience. The service was excellent and Mark introduced each course with pride. We had the six-course taster menu and accompanying half flight of wine both of which were superb. Very reasonably priced and well-presented food. A real treat so I'm already looking forward to our next dining experience.

The fish was super fresh . The home made Ale batter was fine, delicate of tempura consistacy. All I missed was a side of bread and butter lol..Left me wanting more.PerfectThank you so much for your review. We're glad you enjoyed your Fish & Chips, to be honest you're absolutely right about the bread & butter and we'll now look at offering it as part of the dish. The kitchen would have been more than happy to provide one though if you'd have asked, so if you're in again and you're not offered a slice then please do not hesitate in asking.
