Visited on Saturday and sunday this week and wouldn't bother again.Saturday we along with 3 other customers to be served drinks at the bar for 10 minutes before being served.I counted 4 bar staff that all appeared to be working then one decided his shift was over and left leaving three to handle what didnt appear to be a super busy bar still struggling. The barman must have been new as he didnt even know the beers in the fridge when i asked for one and i had to show him which one and where. Then couldnt remmeber the order of two beers and two crisps to put through the till. Not letting this service put us off we returned on Sunday for lunch. Told we had to pay to park £4 for 2 hours seemed steep. Then told we couldnt eat outside and there was very few tables inside that didnt appear to be booked and no body appeared to know how long the wait would be for food. So we took ourselves to the competition across the road who where busy but had 2 spare tablets they also had free parking and the roast was lovely. A smile and a polite apology was all your team needed to offer. Instead it was rude and made to feel our custom unwantedMany thanks for bringing your poor experience to my attentionIâd be more than happy to try and rectify this poor experience for yourself, please give me a call on 01425403423 at your earliest convenience Kind regardsSasha

Okay, this place is on the edge of the A31, very noisy, but not there fault! The river Avon runs alongside, very clean river and well maintained. The outside seating is good.Inside the Inn is well decorated and clean etc, the staff are very good and welcoming. The menu on I believe weekdays is not available evevning times until 6pm? 5 pm would be preferable. The menu is farly extensive and well priced.Personally i was not that hungry and orcered Ham, Egg and chips, with tomato...mistake.The Ham was fairly lacking in flavour and would not have looked out of place in a sandwich. The fries were very bland and some looked and tasted refried. The half of tomato was solid and not good, and as for the fried egg...solid, congealed and only warm etc. A truly bad meal!Such a pity, good staff great place but...a 4 lane noisy

We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday in this beautiful traditional English thatched cottage restaurant. Our Roast Lamb was cooked to perfection. Vegetables & crispy roast potatoes were served on the side. Our tender, thinly sliced lamb was served with a generous amount of delicious gravy. The coffee was a perfect way to finish our meal.Staff were friendly & helpful - thank you Marilyn for making us feel welcome!Whether you are single, a couple or in a small group, this is a special venue for those looking for a traditional restaurant with a homely ambience & great menu.

There are quite a few cafes to choose from for breakfast in Ringwood, but we were swayed by the price of £5.95 for 10 items including tea/coffee. It wasn't great. Plus the waitress did not know the difference between whether it was a tinned tomato (which my husband hates) included or a grilled tomato 'it is just a tomato' I was told. (It was tinned). The whole thing was tasteless and cheap. What did we expect really?Hi,Sorry to hear you didnât enjoy our promotional breakfast. We are happy to exchange tinned tomato for grilled and sorry the waitress wasnât able to help you with this.I will be dealing with your review and we hope you will try us again in the future.

Had a hot choc with whipped cream marsh mallows and a flake. Ploughmans lunch with amazing cheese and a homemade pork pie nothing like shop bought much tastier. I asked for ham too which they kindly provided out of this world. Mums ham salad had new potatoes which were delicious, rolls were warm. Amazing place. Very friendly, well priced. Will return soon.

We may look like a traditional unspoilt pub (we are) but we are also home to the best burgers, gin and beer in The New Forest. Inspired by the street food revolution our burgers are dirty but do good. Big on sustainability - we buy the majority of our ing
Popped in here for a drink on way back from evening carnival and pleasantly surprised to find food still being served. Limited menu for obvious reasons on such a busy day but the lamb chim churri was just the job with a gin and tonic! All served with a smile and banter despite staff rushed off their feet all day! Back again soon! Thanks Mouse, for your review! We are really glad you enjoyed your visit :)We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Fancied a quick sandwich and a coffee in Ringwood stumbled on this place. We sat down and after deciding on food the lady told us they stopped serving food at 2.30.Very strange to us as we are used to food being an all day thing in our area but that was fine.We could only have some home cooked cakes! Which were on display on a trolley.I opted for Lemon drizzle and Victoria sponge. The price was 2.95 a slice quite expensive I think considering the cakes were dry and lemon? No flavour. You needed a drink to wash them down.Real shame we couldn't have tried the food but I did think price's were quite steep looking at the menu.Quaint looking place good for a quick coffee.

Visited here on a recommendation of a family member. From the front this looks like a pub but it is a quaint little tea room. The inside is pretty unassuming but the menu has that little something different about it.We went for a sweet and a savory cream tea, and these didn't disappoint. The sweet cam with two massive scones, lovely thick clotted cream and sweet strewberry jam. The savory arrived with a giant cheese scone chutney and a choice of ham or cheese. The little something different was the fact that the scones were made with cider. Cream tea's aside there was a nice menu if Maine and light bites as well as a range of homemade cakes.I am sure this will be a visit again at some point. For large groups I recommend booking if you can, as there is not too much indoor seating. However on a nice day there is the outdoors. The little farm shop next door is worth a visit.

Nice traditional pub with a log fire and good atmosphere. We all enjoyed the Dexter roast beef Sunday lunch followed by the Terry's chocolate orange cheesecake with ice-cream for dessert. The food was cooked and presented beautifully, priced very well and the service was excellent. Will definitely be returning.
