The Blue Bell is a great local country pub in the village of Wentbridge, West Yorkshire. Situated on the Old Great North Road, the pub dates back to the thirteenth century. Our friendly team serve good food and real ales every day. There's a large choice
Had visited here on a number of occasions and food always been good. However feel that more recently quality and standard of food and service have deteriorated. We had booked a table for 5 yesterday and felt that they could not wait to get us of our table quick enough. Two member of staff came over twice whilst one of the party were still eating which is extremely rude. We did not realise we had to eat and run!! We could see the staff discussing our table which is a bit offputting so unfortunately we wont be going there again.

A family owned cafe bar by day and a cocktail gin prosecco with Draughts beers by night. Serving from 8.30 for breakfasts though till late on an evening. We serve light lunches, cater for afternoon teas, take private bookings and welcome children xx
The window table we booked 2 weeks beforehand was occupied when we arrived which was disappointing as this booking was for my friends birthday treat. The staff hurriedly set up another table for us.We had the champagne afternoon tea but instead of tea we wanted coffee which we were made to pay full price for. The food and cakes were nice but the overall experience was a let down when we were so looking forward to a treat. We wouldnât rush back.Sorry you felt the need to leave a review like this. The table was indeed occupied in the window when you arrived, we didnât really release that the people in the window would stay and drink as long as they did. This is always a hard one to judge as we couldnât leave that table free just for a booking as you can appreciate we are only a small venue. We offer three types of afternoon tea, one with tea or coffee one if you choose prosecco and the other choice is with a cocktail. You were charged for the prosecco afternoon tea and then you wanted hot drinks so yes of course we would have charged you for this. This was an extra.Glad you enjoyed the good but really a two star because you didnât get to sit in the window and you wouldnât rush back ? Thank you for dropping our score we strive to please and I challenge you to find another afternoon tea with such value for money as ours!

I ate here when staying in the adjoining hotel for work. The service was quick, efficient and attentive. The food was great, with generous servings. Unfortunately, I cannot attest to the puddings as the soup and then the steak pie were sufficiently filling!Breakfast in the morning was also good.No need to travel elsewhere if staying in the hotel. Their alcohol-free beer selection could do with expanding beyond Heineken 0.0 though...Dear Guest, I would firstly like to thank you for your review regarding your visit to us whilst on business and I appreciate the time you took to write this.We are pleased to hear that the service we provided was to your satisfaction and you thoroughly enjoyed dining with us and overall enjoyed everything about your stay.
