I spotted this restaurant whilst wandering around the streets of Margate one sunny morning and popped in to see their dinner menu. We were greated by the proprietor and not only offered a table for the following evening (a Friday) but he also suggested we might like to try there social club table with a set menu and set price to include wine. We booked and invited some friends to join us.We had a great evening and met some lovely people. What's more we had great food and plenty of it.I'll be back and I'd recommend this 'dog friendly' venue to anyone

Invited to dinner by friends to eat here often. Lived in Margate all my life, never knew this place was here. Restaurant very small but roomy enough to not be imposing with a great atmosphere and good music. Menu appeared dependant on catch available that day. Food was fresh and delicious and very well presented. Will certainly return to try other dishes but not too often - only criticism is that everything was expensive. If slightly cheaper Iâd be eating here more often.

Featured in the Waitrose Good Food Guide and Hardens restaurant guide 2016. We use fresh, local produce to Create our menu
Iâve visited The Greedy Cow previously and I was impressed before - and they didnât disappoint again. A round of toasties was really lovely and a set of brownie and cookie were also great. Circling seagulls were a bit of a nuisance and every time someone left they jumped onto the table to try and steal leftover food. Kind of off-putting and not very relaxing for lunch! All in all great though - Iâd come back in the sun!

I've had cocktails on the terrace with friends, drinks and seafood and the bar and dinner in the restaurant, and I've had excellent food, drink and service each time I've been. The views are stunning, and the staff always friendly and really helpful. The food is delicious and varied and the drinks are fantastic - local wines and great cocktails.

Street Food on Sea. Modern, fresh, locally-sourced food lovingly prepared by Head Chef Melanie Mountfield and her team. #notjustchicken
Well worth a trip for lunch the food is fantastic. Freshly made burgers, top quality food for kids too all great ingredients no rubbish! The vegan puddings were really appreciated too for a dairy intolerant person!Allows dogs too which is fantastic for us. Big let down were the narrow tables, not ideal for a family of 6! Makes dinner a crowded and uncomfortable affair. Benches that were given were equally narrow and uncomfortable. There are some chairs but these cover less than a third of the seating in the cafe. One toilet but they do provide a clean changing mat with was great

Visited on a Thursday night in a group of 6 the restaurant was full and with just one chef the service slow. The room is a bit small and dated however the food was excellent and more than made up for any shortfalls in other areas. Loved that it was a byob which saved a fortune- glasses provided and a shop opposite if you do not bring enough with you A great place to go for a relaxed meal with the best Thai food I have ever had .

The food and wine at Angelaâs were magnificent. The venue is beautiful and the service was impeccable. With one exception; we were visiting from London and it was made clear to us by the waitress at the start that âLondoners are ruining Margateâ. Other staff members could hide their disdain but, as we left, we overheard them all complaining about people from London occupying Margate. A shame, as we have nothing but respect for Margate and are delighted to bring our custom here, including spending over £150 on dinner. Otherwise, a truly excellent restaurant that lived up to much hyped expectations.

A superb place for a lunch time snack or afternoon tea, never seen such a long list of different and unusual teas. Linked to superb friendly and super efficient service. Canât fault in any way and anyone visiting Margate would be mad not to try it, but donât count the calories. Just be warned must pay by cash.
