Founded by greengrocer Bill Collison, Bill's serves eclectic British dishes made with fresh and seasonal ingredients.
What a friendly happy place with lovely staff. We popped in here on our way to the train station for breakfast. The girl who served us actually seemed to love her job and was very cheery at 9:30 on a Sunday morning. The breakfast was delicious and the black magic smoothie was fantastic. they were very accommodating when we asked to swap items on the âtraditional breakfastâ Iâve never been to a Bills before but will definitely return. We asked for one coffee to take away and they didnât even charge us. Love it here!!

My partner booked us a table as a Sunday treat, as he had heard some good things about the place. The pub is in a really nice location in the countryside, we loved the outside seating area with all the pretty wild looking flowers. We went in for our lunch at 12:30 we were the first ones in, it soon got busy as there was a couple of large group bookings celebrating various things. Even with the large groups the staff coped well and were very friendly and attentive. The roast beef was gorgeous and the veg medley was glorious, packed with flavour. We really enjoyed our meals and the ambience of the restaurant. The clothes boutique upstairs was a great touch, as you donât expect to leave with a bag of goodies as well as a great meal. We canât wait to come back and try something a bit more curious! We also laughed at the car park sign, very funny.

Had Afternoon Tea for two here today using a Groupon voucher. Lovely homemade cakes on display but unfortunately you donât get them with the Afternoon Tea. It consisted of 8 finger sandwiches (ham and mustard, egg and cress, smoked salmon and cream cheese and cucumber), 4 cocktail sausage rolls, 2 fruit scones with cream and jam, and 6 tiny cakes that probably came from Bookers. Pleasant enough and good value for the £13.95 Groupon price but I would have been disappointed if Iâd paid the full price of £30.00. Come on guys, how about some of your lovely homemade cakes!

The choice of food is great, the portions are huge, the service is great attentive but no overbearing, the waitresses were young but had great customer service old heads on young shoulders. You could say parking is limited which it is but just up the road and ample parking therefore not a big problem. We will definitely return.

This was my second visit after 4years. The food was still excellent as was the service. Our dishes included for starters King Prawns and Scallops, and for mains hake and cod. All were cooked to perfection. If you fancy something from the lunch menu just ask, the chef may cook it for you.

Stopped off for an impromptu meal at this lovely fish restaurant. Delicious food from the great menu, beautifully presented and at a realistic price. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Will definitely be a frequent venue for a culinary treat

I pen this review amidst the synthetically exotic decor of Mu Mu Restaurant in central Maidstone. The interior recalls scenes of the demi-monde portrayed by the impressionists. Luxuriant drapery and garish colours create an aesthetic feast for the eye. Voluptuous sculpted figures (caryatids) look down from their perches with beguiling insouciance. They have seen it all and are no longer fazed by the unleashing of human passions. One can imagine the scintillating atmosphere in the twlight hours with the wine flowing and inhibitions thrown to the wind.On the culinary side the service is friendly and efficient. The dishes arrive stylishly presented on the plate. The breakfast and brunch menus seem at odds with an ambience designed to stimulate a sensuous response. I realise too late that a fishcake and small glass of Sauvignon Blanc are unlikely to reawaken my slumbering urges. I am hopeful that the banoffee pie will work wonders. The rest is a matter of personal taste. The restaurant is currently decked out for Hallowe'en, an event of dubious propriety. Black is 'a la mode'. If contrived scarifyring is your thing, Mu Mu is suitably prepared. (Goths and Harry Potter fans take note). The masonry is strewn with faux cobwebs and I espy a giant spider made of pipe cleaners. The meal is accompanied by a soundtrack of eerie cries and echoing chambers reminiscent of my digestive system on a bad day. I shudder momentarily....but this may be due to a draught as I am sitting near the entrance. I would like to point out that this establishment hardly needs these additional fripperies to qualify as an intriguing venue. My dining experience is considerably enhanced by the presence of a charismatic Mediterranean waitress. Her restrained appearance contrasts with the ghoulish creatures who pass through the restaurant at intervals dressed in various shades of black, their faces plastered with grotesque make-up. A parade of demure zombies. Isn't it amazing what commerce demands of its handmaidens?Mu Mu is a tantalizing extravaganza not to be missed, though somewhat wasted on dreary Maidstone. I look forward to my next visit with breathless anticipation.

What a gem of a restaurant pub this is, the staff, led by Tracey were all attentive yet not in your face and all helped to make my birthday celebrations a night to remember. The food was fantastic and we really couldn't fault it, one of our party is known for her fussiness and thoroughly enjoyed her meal(eh mum ). We had 3 courses and weren't waiting long at all for each, hot food was indeed hot and equally so(no hot steak and cold mushrooms here).Thank you Yew Tree Inn for a truly great night, I cannot recommend you highly enough.Dear Rik B,Thank you for your delightful comments Rik, it was lovely talking to you and we are pleased you had a great night, on what was your Birthday, family celebration. You have a lovely family and you were all so friendly, it was truly fantastic that you were all together again after 20 odd years or so, and t's also great you intend to spend more time with them in the future, after all these years, I hope you consider us for another Birthday treat with your family again next year. I'm glad you couldn't fault the food and your Mum really enjoyed hers, she explained to me that she is very fussy and we're very happy that we were able to satisfy her appetite for good food. Thank you for your complimentary review, your feedback and praise are most welcome and appreciated by us all. Please come and visit us again for another family celebration, or even just a drink if ever you are passing by.Kind regardsTracy (Landlady)

Had another lovely brunch here today with the kids! Nice seating area outside however we opted to sit inside because there were lots of bees, did find it quite amusing how a lot of customers seemed to blame this on staff...surely that's just the season we are in? In any case it was delicious and could see that even though the place was very busy we didn't mind waiting as could see everyone was doing their best! Again did notice others being grumpy about waiting but I guess there's no pleasing some folk! Will definitely be back for more pancakes and sandwiches, thank you again!
