We just stopped for a light lunch and a drink on the basis of its well deserved good beer guide entry. The two starters we had to share (whitebait and charcuterie) were well presented and prepared and the welcome, beer and wine were excellent. We would certainly stop there again if repeating the journey.

Very friendly welcome on drifting into the pub and a welcome sight of gravity fed real ale being kept cool and quaffable! It encouraged us to stay for an evening meal. I started with caution and had some steak and chips after a mixed fried fish starter, but concluded that it was both well cooked and well presented and that with the aforementioned beer it would be worth a return. The next night involve a blue cheese salad followed by some salmon; too big for me but very well cooked. If staying in Shouldham this is the place to eat (and drink); realistically two consecutive nights of eating is probably the limit. The menu is not huge, which I think is a good thing-and there are specials and the beer is good and there are gins so sorry its up to you-just get prepared!

We have visited Grants restaurant regularly this year, the number one place to take 11 members of our family on four occasions, and many more treats to ourselves in between. Not one complaint from our visitors, everything spot on every time. Service has been second to none every time. Best food in Kings Lynn and plenty of it. Thankyou Les, Kim and Anna xx

We are a grade 2 listed building built as private houses in the 1600's and converted into a pub in 1743. Since that date the premises have retained not just the name but also the licence. We have been independently owned and run since 1994 by our charming
Came here on a Friday night and experienced the first of several excellent service experiences in Kings Lynn during a weekend stay. Traditional pub offering traditional pub food but the waitress was excellent and made a number of really good suggestions about where to go in KL. the landlord is a real character. I imagine some would find him a little rude but he was very entertaining. Would certainly return if in KL again. We were told they didnât accept cards so bring cash!

The cabbie taking us home late the previous night recommended the Carousel. Situated on a trading estate it was a little hard to find on a bright sunny Sunday morning but well worth the effort. An excellent breakfast offering with many vegetarian options. Really good coffee and welcoming and friendly service. If you are looking for a great start to the day then Carousel Cafe is where it is at.

Fab find and wish they had one of these in Hertfordshire. If you donât mind getting your hands dirty and your food being served on a tray then you HAVE to eat here. The food is scrumptious and they have a great choice on the menu. The staff are mega friendly and we have to give a huge thanks to Bex and Billie for looking after us on our first visit here. If we are ever back in Kings Lynn we will return for sure. If the only request is please get some sparkling water on your drinks menu then we would say you are AWESOME.
