Came here Tuesday lunch to have a catch up with friends whom I havenât seen in a while. We all ordered off the main menu everything was going smooth. UNTIL we never ended up getting a check back. Now I believe it states âno check back= free cakeâ well this was far from what we got offered. We asked about the cake and the âmanagerâ said âI believe my colleague checked on your foodâ if so... why wasnât the stick taken? We never had a check back at all! So again we asked about the cake he then stood there shrugged his shoulders and said âwe donât have any fudge cake to give out, I canât do anything about itâ so what happens if others donât get a check back would he say the same to other customers? I was truly disappointed with the way the âmanagerâ came across and dealt with the situation and how rude he was to all of us. Dear Guest,Firstly I would like to apologise for this visit and can ensure you that I will be looking into these issues immediately and I will be raising them at the next team meeting to ensure we can improve upon these issues.Kind Regards,

I come here once every few months.Staff are always friendly and helpful. They accept dogs which is great.Food is always lovely with a lot of variety- they do a specials dish. The cocktails they do are really nice too. Only downsides are during a heat wave-avoid as itâs so hot in there.Fusty smell of the building at timesHi there, thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. What a lovely review! We agree on the heatwave front, however we make sure our windows are wide open and our cold drinks are flowing! Thank you again for taking the time to review, we look forward to seeing you again!

Visited after a walk around Stanwick Lakes for lunch. Lovely village pub with good parking and roomy bar and restaurant. Good choice of sandwiches, all served with chips and salad and reasonably priced. Pub maintains tradition with an old Northamptonshire skittles table in the bar. Friendly staff and the owners were also on hand to give a welcome. Well worth a detour to find this place and will certainly be visiting again.

The ground floor rooms of a very pretty old stone built house on the Main Street of Grafton Underwood have been converted into a restaurant. I went there for lunch on a Sunday with two family members. The food was excellent with a choice of roasts, fish and vegetarian options. The menu was was limited to a few main dishes and some delicious starters and desserts. The portions are large, especially the roast, so think carefully before ordering a starter. The service was friendly and efficient. They appear to get booked up quickly at weekends, so best to plan in advance. I thoroughly recommend this restaraurant for an informal meal in very pleasant surroundings which is also good value for money. The village itself with a stream running down the main street, itâs lovely stone buildings and fascinating church is well worth a visit too .

I was so impressed with the meal when I went the first time that I've been back four times since. The atmosphere and venue is amazing. The menu is wonderful with lots of selection and some really great food. I'm not really a salad person but their salads a definitely something I would choose. If you want a nice relaxing evening or something for a special occasion this is your place
