I took my French Godson here to take-away typical English fish and chips - not that these are 'typical' fish and chips. The owner is always friendly and efficient and gives a small portion of chips whilst you main order is being freshly cooked. The portions are enormous (so much so that mine lasted me for two meals) and always tasty - even more so when their own Shakey, Shakey seasoning is added. It is always good value or money. My Godson thoroughly enjoyed his meal.

We visited this friendly Pub today for lunch with our two children. We got a warm welcome when we arrived from Julie and her lovely team. We ordered drinks and food from the bar,and were impressed with the variety of food on the menu (including vegetarian and vegan). We did not have to wait long at all before our lunch arrived(which is always a bonus with two hungry children!). The food was delicious, freshly prepared and good value for money. I would highly recommend this Pub to anyone wanting a good meal and great service.

We decided to pop into here for lunch on a Sunday - we were quite late at 3pm (!) and I have unusual allergies, but these weren't a problem and the lovely girl on the bar, kindly had a chat with the Chef, who had a chat with me...no fuss at all... I wasn't made to feel like a picky eater - which can happen when you say you have allergies. The Chef kindly made me something that was slightly 'off piste' with regards to what was listed on their menu... Great service, cute restaurant (we sat outside) and lovely staff... good value for your money as well.

Voted Kent Life Pub of the year 2018/2019. A Remarkable pub in Herne Bay offering exceptional food cooked with Passion, amazing beers, great wines and above all a warm welcome. Online booking now available through the website.
Had lunch here. The staff were very friendly. We had a bottle of pinot grigio and were given olives in a dish. We then ordered two starters and the sea bass main course which was the best we'd ever tasted, cooked to perfection. Before our starters came out they delivered a small taster of another dish which was superb. We were too full for pudding, but had a coffee. Would definitely frequent again when in the area. Lovely atmosphere, great welcoming staff and brilliant food at a fair price.

Coffee shop in the heart of Herne Bay, serving fresh lunches and varied specials, alongside our delicious coffee blend and Sri Lankan loose leaf teas imported especially for us. Another highlight is our luxurious hot chocolate made from real melted chocol
Service with a smile, welcoming to humans and dogs too!The chicken curry is outstandingly delicious and I love the rice hoppers for a change to your usual sandwich or panini menu at most cafes. The Sri Lankan Leaf tea is super!

Tea was cold by the time we got our food, toast was delivered way to early so it was cold when the breakfast arrived all breakfast items were over cooked to the point it wasnât edible would go elsewhere for breakfastMr Merritt, it was shame that you chose to leave us a negative review, when you visited with your mother,It was actually you mother that had the breakfast, you had a ham baguette with melted cheese if you remember ?You were asked at the till if everything was ok by myself and your response was " it was alright ".You have only got to look at our hundreds of positive reviews to see how popular our restaurant is, .Maybe the fact that you once applied to work here, and we chose not to employ you was the real reason that you left this review.Need i say any more? I dont think so .

The food in this café is superb. It is rare to see a menu with so many amazing choices and so much of the food locally sourced. Excellent value and friendly staff. Great coffee too. We will be back many times and we would thoroughly recommend it to others.

I described my first trip to this place for a drink and reported how much I had enjoyed my visit; promising to return for a meal.We did return and had a great experience. The menu was varied and we both found a meal that we wanted to order. The food was lovely we mostly have a starter and main course rather than an afters. The Pinot grigo i ordered was well priced and cold.I cannot recommend this place enough, it is a hidden 'gem' in Herne Bay. Check it out if you are in town and my good review is not the only one.The owner cannot do enough to make you feel welcome and that your business is appreciated. We will return and take guests next time!

Following the launch of our restaurant, The Salutation offers a wealth of dining options, from dawn âtil dusk. With the North Wing opened up to accommodate our state of the art kitchen, our dining rooms fully refurbished, and our tearoom given a fresh sta
My friend and I visited this restaurant for an afternoon tea. We are both Coeliacs so therefore gluten free was required. Lovely surroundings, pleasant staff.Four fillings of sandwichâs were presented to us, which were pleasant but we would have preferred to have chosen the fillings we wanted. The sweet items were well presented, and very tasty. Within the price of the afternoon tea was admission to the award winning gardens. The only negative comment about the visit, was that we was sitting in one of the restaurants eating our tea, music playing. The room was nearby the kitchen, staff within the kitchen were shouting very loudly and this went on for some time. Eventually they had to shut the door of the dining room to shut out the noise!
