Nice little place which is well known and popular. The food is of a high standard and the service is good too. It can get very busy at peak times.

A beautiful and charming beamed property with fabulous and far reaching views over the Waveney Valley
We have been to the White Hart so many times and the food is always delicious. Most of the staff have happy smiley faces and are very friendly. The food always comes out quick and is always of a high standard. The only one 'complaint' that I would have is that in the warmer weather it is so hot inside. We came as a group and sat in the 'side room' to the right at the end of the bar and there was no air flow and no windows that would open so we were melting in there - maybe a tower fan in the corner of the room for hot days could help?

Visited here for lunch today with 6 adults, 1 baby and a dog. Staff were absolutely fantastic, especially paying attention to the baby and dog. Excellent service. Food was fabulous. Perfect ploughman's! Very well priced. They even have an Alexa in the restaurant so you can chose your music! Would definitely recommend.

A beautiful, cottage style cafe set on The Mere in Diss. Out of the way, with views of the fountain. Excellent home made food, great staff and a friendly welcome.
Visited Diss yesterday with a friend and decided to try Katies Kitchen for lunch based on reviews. We arrived at 12.30 and got the last table. The menu and specials board contained just what is needed at lunch time. It took us a while to decide what to have and then the really nice lady in charge warned us that there would be a bit of a delay due to them being so busy. The food was lovely. We didn't have room for a cake but there were some really good looking homemade cakes. Incredible value, lunch including a drink for just over £8.

Norfolk villages are very strange. You find really random things in the middle of nowhere; a huge Bed centre, a local swimming pool, an alpaca farm and then The Burston Crown. Ok so Norfolk is famous for having lots of pubs, but most people venture into the towns like Diss and Bungay etc for food. Norfolk is a real black sheep and has these incredible pubs hidden all over the place. This pub is one of those incredible pubs. I first came here for a Christmas party in 2015 and the food was fantastic! Fresh, wonderful flavours and great and interesting combinations that work. Hats off to their chef, they certainly know flavours and how to pull a meal together.I have been here many times since and it has yet to disappoint me. The food, be it dinners or lunches, have always been fantastic. The big two things this place does that many don't are both consistently great food and fantastic friendly landlords who make you feel welcome. The atmosphere is lovely. Beams and in the cold a roaring log fire to keep you warm. Just the right kind of decor and very clean and uncluttered. I do try and find at least one negative or critical thing to say in my reviews, but I'm going to be honest here and say that I'm struggling to think of anything. Thank you to the chef, workers and owners for working so hard to make and keep this place fantastic. If you are passing by you really must stop in and treat yourselves to some great grub.

A wonderful independently owned local café on Fair Green in Diss serving delicious home cooked food. Fantastic breakfasts (full English served til 2pm) and delicious lunches plus amazing cakes, coffee & more! On sunny days make the most of the terrace out
Havenât been to the Angel for a long time and so glad we opted for lunch there. My scotch egg was absolutely perfect with crisp breadcrumbs and tasty sausage meat and came with an enormous salad selection and potatoes. Incredible value. The quiche and scrambled eggs also looked good. The coffee was well made and strong. Will be back for pancakes!

Six friends enjoyed a delicious mid week lunch from the varied and changing prix fixe menu which offers good value for food of this quality - all intend to return. Recommend booking as it is not a large restaurant and be aware the stairs to the first floor additional dining area in this ancient building are very steep. Friendly obliging staff add to the relaxed ambiance of this locally popular restaurant.

Every visit to Amandines there is a unique and mouth watering menu that makes it hard to choose. The food is moreish and never disappoints, every bite is fresh and flavourful. My personal favourites are the Aranchini and the gorgeous curries, along with the raspberry bread and butter pudding that you canât miss for dessert!! The waitresses in Amandines are welcoming and friendly which makes for a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, not forgetting Amelia and Brian, who are so lovely and hospitable. The restaurant itself has a beautiful courtyard with a glass roof and green plants climbing the walls, which I love! As well as the wood burner in the colder months making it cozy and inviting! My family and I love coming here, I wish we could come more often! I would recommend Amandines to anyone looking for delicious food and great customer service! Amazing!
