An independent deli-café serving great coffees and teas, indulgent breakfasts, homemade lunches, healthy soups, sandwiches to order, cakes, pastries and more!
Lunch stop for two. Menu extensive. Very sensible price, veggie friendly. Friendly staff. Four star as the wait for food was excessive (Maybe just a slow day). When food arrived is was very good. Needs another pair of hands in kitchen. However liked it and will go back soon.

A small village pub with restaurant attached and a pretty garden with children's play area.We were made very welcome when we visited and on the Saturday night there was a barbecue in the garden which was very nice. They don't serve food every day and they do close early on Sundays.

There's always a friendly welcome at our uniquely traditional village pub. We offer homemade quality food, cocktails and cask ales. Stone-baked Pizza on Sunday nights, a buzzing quiz night and open mic music scene add to the atmosphere. No screens and no
Me and my husband were staying in the beautiful village of Badby over the Bank Holiday weekend and visited this pub all 4 nights we were there. I have to say this has got to be the most friendly pub we have ever been in. All the staff and the locals were friendly and chatty, and made us feel welcome from the first time we stepped inside their pub. Their food was freshly cooked and delicious, especially the fillet steak and home cooked chips!! Drinks were very good too, tried quite a few of the flavoured gins, and all were made to perfection. I would highly recommend this pub to anyone staying in the area or just passing through - you're sure to get a warm welcome!

Booked for a late Sunday lunch on Mother's day.The food and service were both very good and the pub is very atmospheric. The only negative was the price.

I organised a trip up to Derbyshire with 5 friends, and we wanted something more than the standard motorway services breakfast. A short drive to Weedon Bec and we weren't disappointed. In fine surroundings, we had a choice of breakfasts cooked to order with excellent locally sourced sausages. More tea and coffee than you can drink, great service with a smile and safe parking outside. Will definitely recommend and return

Visited here as was near Fawsley Hall, so popped in for Sunday lunch. The roast beef was amazing. Was one of the best Sunday roasts Iâve ever had. We had starters and desserts too which were fab. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Have rebooked for December!

Our delightful 19th-century inn has been refurbished with lots of TLC to provide our guests with a comfortable, relaxed and friendly place to eat and drink. The bar is the perfect spot to grab an after-work drink or to enjoy a few pints or g&t's with frie
We enjoyed the two course set menu and have nothing but praise for our choices.Starters were good and we were even envious of those who opted for the curried cauliflower soup in July, but mains were even better. The chicken supreme was a generous portion, beautifully cooked but the vegetables really made the dish. The fish pie too was a great success and really arrived piping hot.Desserts looked good but we would have required much bigger appetites.

We have recently moved to the area and have been enjoying getting to know the area better as we find our way around.Having stumbled upon this amazing place several weeks ago we have been back most Saturdays for coffee and food. We have been trying out different things from the breakfast menu, and also the gorgeous cheese scones, and every visit has been amazing! The staff are wonderfully attentive and friendly and great you with a welcoming smile, and the seating is relaxed and informal, with a selection of tables and comfy chairs/sofas inside, plus also an outside seating area. It really is perfect!Service has been very quick and efficient on every visit, and all the food we have tried has been 10/10, absolutely delicious and freshly cooked to order. We are looking forward to working our way through the menu and specials board for a long time to come!Hi Debbie405,Thank you for this wonderful review, we are so glad you stumbled across us in your adventures around the area. We are a small family run business so reviews like this really make every day a great day. There has been a public house on the site of The Bowling Green dating back to 1520. The original building was destroyed in a major fire in 1741 that accounted for many of the buildings on Coventry Street. The current Bowling Green pub was rebuilt in 1750
We ate here on a Wednesday evening as a table of 4. We had booked a table but unfortunately the staff were preoccupied with serving drinkers/diners sitting in the garden. The service was incredibly bad - ages to take order (20 minutes), ages for food to arrive (45 minutes), forgetting to bring steak knife for steak (despite being asked twice) no table check, no sauces (the waiter forgot) no drinks order taken after drinks finished. The food was average. The chicken Caesar salad was as far removed from a Caesar salad as you can get (who has ever heard of onions, peppers and a poached egg on a Caesar salad?). The steak was very tough and the gammon was thin and grey. As no steak knife arrived the steak was inedible. We couldn't tell the waiting staff as they had vanished! The fish and chips was good however. This was a birthday meal and we were all left disappointed. For local pub grub this place isn't cheap and did not live up to expectations.
