Firstly let me explain the title to this review then the staff who served us will remember our visit. We had just entered the conservatory at the rear of the shop as we had Alf our Yorkie with us. Unfortunately the wife sat down and promptly put her foot in the dogs water bowl and emptied it all over the floor. The staff were excellent clearing up the spillage much to our embarrassment. Right, down to the food. Fresh granary sandwich and a granary baguette were our choice. The order was on the table in 5 minutes along with hot drinks. The fillings were very generous in both sandwiches and the side salad was tasty and fresh, not the limp mid afternoon offering we have previously had elsewhere in the town. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this eating house for the food the staff and it being DOG FRIENDLY !

We booked for a Birthday Party for my 90 year old Mother, two tables of twelve which were shoe horned in to a corridor with the walkway going between the two tables. No welcome or indeed congratulations passed to the Birthday girl at all from any of the staff. Painfully slow service from start to finish which necessitated going to see where the final main course had got to, as the rest of my tables food was going cold after a good ten minute wait. Desert was ordered with four of us wishing for custard to accompany our choices, another very long wait and finally the puds arrived, another wait and cream arrived, after another few minutes one of our party went to find the elusive custard only to be told they didn't have any. The loos are not disabled friendly or indeed friendly to anyone when it's raining! My Mother uses a push along walker to aid her, she required the use of the loo, which was up two steps into the other part of the restaurant, over another step outside (Not great when it's blowing a hoollie and raining!) Along outside beside the building to access over another step into the loo (Who in this day and age puts the loo outside? That's something we were used to in the 70's at school!) A very disappointing visit for us.

We found this small family run restaurant whilst wandering around Cromer looking for somewhere to eat. The food was great, I believe using local produce and the staff were very attentive. We'll definitely visit again next time we're in Cromer.
Lovely food, polite friendly staff, good size portions. We went there with my in laws, the waitress showed us to a table, with a colouring sheet and pens in hand for our daughter. There are lunch deals on with a limited choice of main courses, but you could have whichever dessert you wished for £11.50. I would defiantly go back here again.

Small cafe, but specialises in home made cakes and pastries, light lunches etc
Passed here on the off chance and managed to get a table. It does get busy but lovely friendly people. The staff were more that accommodating and brought out little one some toys to play with at the table. Also very reasonable prices for the quality of food. Had dressed crab salad, ham and cheese panini, tea, soft drink and scone with cream and jam for £22. A reasonable lunch I thought and lovely home cooked food. Well worth a visit, thank you to the lovely staff!

Locally owned and managed. Located in the North Norfolk coastal town of Cromer. We source local produce where available and present the finished dishes for reasonable prices.
Another independent breakfast place on my list. Excellent place with an interesting menu. First visit I had Eggs Benidict which compared to the one I had in a new Slug and Lettuce in Nottingham was 100 times better. My friends all agreed we would come again on The Sunday. Everybody tried different things on the menu. I imagine it's pretty cool in the evening as they have a vintage jukebox

Cafe bistro serving good home cooked food
Found this via Tripadvisor and was not disappointed. Well worth the short drive from Sheringham/Cromer to have a quiet tasty breakfast. Staff knowledgeable, friendly, chatty and attentive. Home cooked food that didnât fail to disappoint. Had lovely wicked eggs in a cheesy chilli sauce with lots of thick crusty toast, also had a breakfast burrito, sounds a bit odd, but tasted absolutely delicious. Cakes looked really appetising but we unfortunately were too full to try any. Would recommend a visit, so much nicer than your bog-standard ânormalâ breakfasts you get elsewhere! Thanks Clementines, weâll hopefully be passing next year when weâre on holiday to call in for some lovely food again!
