Quirky, eccentric and playful the Cosy Club offers informal casual dining, drinking and lounging in a homely and family friendly environment. 'Think gents club meets village hall meets cricket pavilion.'
Visited with my friend who has to adhere to some very strict dietary requirements (gluten, wheat & dairy intolerant, and more). Totally unphased, the manager went through the menu with her and a suitable solution was produced. My own meal (a burger on this occasion) was very tasty and beautifully presented. Hope to return when next in the area!Hi kettbasu,Many thanks for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. Allergies are a top priority for us at the moment so it's very pleasing to hear the correct processes were followed and your guest was able to enjoy their experience with us.We hope to see you both again in the near future to try the Cosy Club once again!Tom

We had initially booked at another restaurant but had discovered our booking had fallen through.I had eaten at Mama Lizâs one Christmas and enjoyed it so much, I constantly asked my husband to take me back.As luck would have it they were not particularly busy this night so we were able to get a table. The staff were lovely, attentive and professional. The meal we had was perfectly cooked. We enjoyed every morsel. We chose from the small plates menu, although there was so much choice of other delicious options that I have tried before.I love the decor and ambience of this place and plan to return with my family who I had tantalised with photos of the food we ate. I would highly recommend this venue for couples and groups, the food is consistently good regardless of the amount of people catered for.

Paten & Co was refurbished in 2017 in to a new Urban style food venue and bar. It boasts a Charcoal X-Oven where all of its meat is cooked in. Food comes from local suppliers including its very own KNEAD Farm that produces Lincoln Red Cattle, Lambs and Be
Whatâs not to like here Great menu with lots of variety including vegan I can recommend the Florentine Chicken absolutely beautifully cooked and well presented My friend had the smoked lamb curry which was a great sized portion with great accompaniments Service was attentive but not over the top Bryn served us and he was chatty and just right. Mid week offer of two mains and free bottle of wine make this the top place to eat food and value wise.

Before dinner we decided to drop into The Wine Bar, the staff were extremely welcoming and the choice of gins was great. They served them perfectly in large glasses with lots of ice and different companying berries depending on the flavour of gin. The patio area is nicely laid out and with the late afternoon sun it was a perfect location for a drink and a catch up with friends. I can guess it gets very busy but we were fortunate it was not on this occasion and I would definitely visit again.

We found the Crown Hotel a few years ago by accident as came off the A1 looking for somewhere to stay last minute and we fell in love with it then and have been back numerous times for lunch or dinner when we have been passing. Friday night we stopped with our little one for some dinner as we were staying in Rutland for the weekend. Friendly staff seated us, recommended a wine to my husband which was really nice. To start we just shared some fresh bread with oil and vinegar which was lovely. For mains my little boy (3) had the fish and chips, menu said designed for under 7's but they were massive and could easily have served an adult, we could have done with half the size portion and at £9.95 were a very expensive kids meal. However they were delicious (I got to taste as I had to help him out!) My husband had the adult fish and chips which were nice and even bigger! I had the slow cooked beef which had a nice flavour but the meat was really fatty so there wasn't much beef to actually eat which was a disappointment. The atmosphere in the Crown is always good and the staff helpful. We were allowed to take our dog in which is always a bonus. I think we just felt that the meal seemed really expensive for just being nice, we spent approx. £75/80 for what was a quick average meal for 2 adults and 1 3 year old. It definitely wasn't as good as it has been in the past and I'm not sure if we will return.

Beautiful village pub in an idyllic setting to the east of historic Stamford. The Bertie Arms has been under new ownership since April 2017. Coffee and Cake served from 9 am Mon - Sat, 11 am Sun. Lunch served from 12 pm every day. Food available Monday to
Our first visit in years saw us enjoy a very welcome Sunday lunch, a treat for a family birthday. Menu choices great, able to choose in a jiffy and enjoy a drink while we waited. Plenty of attentive waitresses and there's a pleasant atmosphere. It was lovely to see all the tables reserved and by the time we left everyone seemed to be enjoying their visit. Good car parking too.

This is a lovely little restaurant with a great choice of burgers and sides with interesting and innovative combinations of flavours and ideas. The service was efficient and friendly and the presentation of the food was great. It has a cosy atmosphere and caters for all kinds of clients. The private room downstairs looked great for parties, and had the weather been better, it would have been nice to sit outside.

A beautiful pub dating back to 1280AD full of character with a luxurious feel. Perfect for a coffee or a quick pint but also a special place for lunch and dinner. Now serving Sunday Roasts with meat from the owners farm 2 miles from the pub.
Had a lovely Sunday lunch - 6 adults and 2 children. The food and service were simply excellent. Staff were very attentive and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. We had Roast Beef, Roast Chicken, Seabass Salad and Pizza. Both roast dishes were full of flavour and in particular the gravy and cauliflower cheese were excellent. Good choice of red wine by the glass too. Finally we had 2 sharing desserts for the table as we fancied something sweet but not a full dessert each. Again it was a really lovely meal and we look forward to returning in the coming months.

Great staff, very lovely, very attentive. I had the Thai curry, lovely. My wife had fish and chips, the chips were poor. She left most and after having a couple, I agreed, they were not good. Would I go again? In a heartbeat, but I wouldnât have chips!
