So we went in and Isaw Jaipur on so Iordered that and cath had a half of another beer ,Iasked did they except Camra cards ? she said only in the week ,we were in on a Sunday, I said fine how much is that please ? She said £6:65 for a pint and a half of beer, I paid it and sat down with my wife and noticed we were the only ones drinking beer .The other people were drinkinking wine whichih when we looked there was a sign sayinbuy two glasses get one free, So it was mainly a wine bar with Kraft ales on, so we had our drinks and left. The Water Witch was originally converted from purpose built stables in 1978 and offers a large range of high quality dishes ranging from Great British classics to continental cuisine. Our Head Chef sources all of our produce wherever possible from local B
The Water Witch is one of the best real ale pubs in Lancaster, a town not known for great venues. It's located right next to the canal, with a generously designed outside seating area [Unfortunately, it was raining all the time I spent in Lancaster]. The pub itself isn't as big as it seems from outside, with much of the pub area divided into single-spaced, window-seated tables. On the plus side, that means it won't get too noisy when the placed is packed. The real ale selection is certainly adequate [I've seen better, and much worse, the latter more often], the staff generally nice and helpful, and the real ales being kept fresh. Recommended for Lancaster.Hi Thomas,Many thanks for leaving us a review, we really appreciate the 5 star rating and fantastic comments, we hope to see you again soon!

A warm and welcoming pub restaurant located in the heart of Lancaster City Centre. From Camra award winning ales to Michelin recommend food we aim to offer something for everyone.
Tried the traditional Sunday Lunch with family whilst on holiday from Australia. Must admit , I didnât know what to expect , but was very pleasantly surprised by the service and quality of the roast dinner, it was first class. Combined with the fact that two dinners came with a free bottle of either red or white wine just topped off the day. Would highly recommend. Well done Thank you for choosing The Borough for your Sunday lunch! I am glad to hear you enjoyed it and we hope to see you again for another!

Located right in the centre of Lancaster, Toll House Inn is a top quality bar and restaurant. We serve hearty, home-cooked food, ranging from sandwiches to steaks, as well as our locally sourced specials - all best paired with one of our quality cask ales
Stopped here overnight and room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Ensuite had amazing shower. This aspect is very good. However downstairs check in across the main restaurant bar lacked customer service and no cooked breakfast due to repair of extractor fan in kitchen though not their fault, disappointing as continental breakfast left a lot to be desired with dry croissants and no marmalade so this part is average.

The Sun Hotel & Barâs situated in a 300-year-old building that showcases a large majority of its original features, giving the establishment an extraordinary unique feel. The guest bedrooms, often booked up weeks in advance, uphold our standard of quality
We visited for the first time on the recommendation of a local person on our most recent visit to Lancaster. We didnât eat this time but the food going out looked delicious and a visit for dinner is definitely on the cards. We tried the Lancaster Blonde beer and the grapefruit beer; both were delicious. There is a great choice of drinks. Picturesque interior and donât miss the well! Pleasant and friendly staff, I really enjoyed my visit.Hi Glamourpuss1000, thank you for the 5-star review and for choosing to stop by The Sun Hotel & Bar. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed our venue, and look forward to seeing you again in the near future!

Canal side pub with home cooked food served 12PM-9PM every day. Up to 13 cask ales, two rotating craft beers plus fresh ground coffee and and excellent selection of wines by the glass.
This pub is in an excellent location with an outside seating area next to a canal. We enjoyed two glasses of prosecco sitting beside the water which were reasonably priced at less than £4.00 each. I did think it was a shame that all the outside seating was basic bench type seats which we found to be less than comfortable. We enjoyed our visit on a pleasant sunny day. Thank you so much for your comments, our benches have had a bit of wear and tear from the summer, and we thank you for bringing it to our attention that some of them will require maintenance. We hope you come back for more of our lovely bubbly on another lovely day!Kind regards â Harley Parker â Restaurant Manager

Restaurant and bar serving excellent British cuisine, 8 real ales and a selection of fine wines. Set in 300 year old wine merchants cellars 1 minutes walk from Lancaster Castle and 5 minutes from the train station, with a peaceful beer garden to the front
Merchants 1688 is one of the best options in Lancaster, which otherwise is short on real ale pubs. It's a lovely venue, with several designated sections and a nice, comfy [slightly "cavernous", see pictures] atmosphere. The real ale selection is certainly more than adequate, staff are generally nice and helpful. Recommended for Lancaster!

Are you looking for somewhere special to eat in Lancaster? Then you simply have to try the Wagon & Horses, for the last couple of years we have secretly been employing one of the best chefs in the area and creating a menu that will rival (and sometimes su
An okay pub in Lancaster, owned by Robinsons brewery - the makers of Old Tom. Located next to the Maritime Museum, the venue itself is nice enough, spacious and well laid-out. That said, the real ale selection isn't particularly thrilling, and mostly conventional. They do have a smoking/vaping area, covered, to the back - which is nice. Just fine.

My husband and I just are here tonight after seeing the food last week. We are glad we did. The pate was delicious absolutely delicious. The pub itself is lovely so old and full of charm weâve been in many times over the years and always marvelled at its age etc but never eaten here. Glad we did will definitely return again a brilliant meal and friendly service.
