Popped in with friends on Sunday for a really fantastic roast. Paid a quid for extra spuds as a potatoholic. They arrived on a side dish and never got to touch them as the dinner was so filling! Thank you very much for our five star review we are really proud of our menu and our locally produced products and our team that delivers them and the service I will pass on your comments I am sure the Irish barman will be thrilled we do hope to see you again soon

Sunday lunch - great waitress and very accommodating to dietary needs. Reasonable prices too. This place used to be expensive but now the mains are around £10. Roasts were good. The Lord Raglan is an 18th Century traditional pub, backing on to the Slipper Mill Pond and the River Ems. This lively pub is well known locally for its friendly atmosphere, great food and top notch real ale. There is an exciting selection of dishes to en
We visited here a few weeks ago on a Saturday night. The bar staff weren't exactly cheerful. There were empty glasses on nearly every table and tables were sticky from sauce etc. We ordered 2 Pints of beer, they were served in the incorrect glasses and the beer was flat. I visited the ladies room whilst here and one of the bar staff did at the same time as me. They did not wash their hands before leaving, we left immediately after. I am sorry your experience with us seems to have been a bad one. With regards to the untidy tables, these things can happen, especially in the middle of summer on a busy Saturday. It shouldnât happen,, but it can. The member of staff on duty has been addressed and she was surprised to hear that as she always washes her hands. I am especially interested to know if you were in the pub for a relaxing drink or purely for an inspection?? The attention to detail is uncanny!

This is a lovely pub to socialise and eat in. The managers have worked very hard over recent years to make this place the local place to come. All the Management & Staff are always warm and friendly. The ambience of this quirky pub is like no other pub around, well not locally, you need to visit to appreciate why people call it quirky. With regular music and tribute acts of a very good standard itâs such a nice, pleasant place to be in. It has to be said my wife and I only pop in on the off chance when out walking for a little sustenance which is always nice but more regularly for the Sunday Roast. As for the Roast: we have lost count of our visits over recent years but itâ is many and we have never had a bad experience. The food is cooked in view and is always plentiful with a choice of meats and fresh veg which include swede, cauliflower cheese, cabbage, carrots, roast potatoâs and a large Yorkshire pudding, not forgetting the always beautiful gravy, if your fortunate you might be lucky enough to catch the Manager with his Chef hat on as heâs often shown to be a fine cook himself. We really like and recommend this well run pub and always bring our friends here when the occasion arises. We are reliably informed by some of our walking friends that the breakfasts from 09.30ish are very tasty too.

I love a sizzling hot sausage and this is the place to try lots! The mash and seasonal veg are also good and the gravy is excellent. The staff are very friendly, the pub is basic but clean and the prices are not too expensive. Unfortunately the main road passing the front door is not ideal but that's just the way this old pub is. The Cumberland gluten free meal was faultless for me and I was delighted that I had a GF option. So why do I score only average? Firstly 'average' is not bad and the next rating would be very good and the Sussex Brewery is somewhere in between.

My wife and I ate here both for breakfast and dinner during our local stay and found the Bluebell the best place to eat in Emsworth. For breakfast, we enjoyed breakfast sandwiches and coffees, including the local sausages which were tasty.Staff were courteous and friendly. We also ate here once in the evening and the food was superb, home-made steak and oyster pie and the renowned fish and chips. Both were excellent, all at a very reasonable price. 2 meals and 2 drinks £28.When we return to the area, this will be our first stop for meals.

Visiting Emsworth with friends we chanced upon this pub and we are jolly glad we did for we had an excellent.2 of us fancied the steak and ale pie which had just gone in the oven so we waited 30mins for the pastry to cook and we were served the most delicious pie full of tender steak in a rich ale gravy with a generous selection of veg. The other 2 had salads with various fish and these were huge and much enjoyed. by 13:00 all of the tables were full and I can understand why. We will visit again. Excellent.
