Large Family dining pub. Large beer garden to enjoy the summer months.
went there before going to Orchard theatre for a meal.Place was very busy but smelled of stale beer and sweat!Wasnt too sure about staying but was pushed for time so decided to find a table whcih wasnt easy as it was busy.Eventually found a table but when we sat down relaised it was dirty and sticky.Decided at that point to leave!I have been to quite a few Wetherspoons and normally they are clean and inviting but this one was the worst one i have ever been in!Never again and if you do decide to go make sure you take a cloth in with you to clean the table!HiNot entirely sure what to respond here, sometimes we do get very busy when there is theatre on as we are a very popular venue. I do apologise that on this occasion you could not find a table. If you choose to visit us again and you do find your table sticky, do not hesitate to ask a member of staff to wipe it down for you. Thanks for your review

This was my first visit here last week and I was really impressed. Lovely clean pub with a great terrace overlooking the lake. Food and drink was good quality at reasonable prices. Enjoyable visit.

Excellent pub just a short walk from the Orchard Theatre. The food was home cooked and delicious. It was amazing value for money and a much better option than the Wetherspoons which was opposite. Will definitely return when we come back to Dartford. Worth noting no children are allowed after 7pm but I have no issues with that.

We are excited to welcome you to our friendly, recently refurbished pub situated in Wilmington. The Horse and Groom is the perfect place to pop in for a quick bite and a pint (or two!), or to indulge in a delicious meal and a nice bottle from our extensiv
I didnt realise sirloin steak came so flat. It looked like roadkill! Tasted ok but nothing special. I also don't like a service charge being added. I will always tip good service but how much should be my choice. Overall I think the pub has delusions of grandeur! Also if you drink any fortified wine be prepared to get a short measure. As laid down on gov.uk fortified wines such as martini, baileys, port etc should be sold in multiples of 50ml for a single shot. Once again this is another pub which only gives 25ml. It's like paying for a pint and only getting half a pint. I will be reporting the pub to Trading Standards and Customs and Excise. Will not visit there again.

Went here for fish on Good Friday. My friend had beautifully cooked battered fish with chips & peas. The fish was so white & the texture was perfect. Adam had been up to Billingsgate to choose it himself.I had asked for a low syn version & he cooked a wonderful fillet of baked cod served on a mixture of courgettes, onions, butternut squash & tomatoes on the vine which were cooked without fat. Really fresh & healthy as well as delicious. Thanks Adam for lovely food & a outdoor spot to eat al fresco on a warm Spring evening. Perfect!

I visited this pub with friends. I hadn't heard of it until a visit was suggested and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food is basic pub fare but beautifully cooked. The portions were more than generous. I love vegetables and was very pleased to be served three kinds, all cooked exactly right.I loved the crumble and the custard was just right for me! Excellent value for money. Thanks for the nice review Jazzy, hope to see you again sometime!Ange & Shaun

Recommended to us a while back, seriously wondering why! We were group of eight, all of us disappointed, waited what seemed like an eternity for our table. Food not great at all, looked good on Menu disappointed when it arrived, service could have been better. There's not much choice in and around Dartford, what a pity this place doesn't come up to standard. Restaurant area was noisy and cramped, seating uncomfortable. Don't think we will return until it improves, disappointing experience all round for our group.

My cousin had wanted to host her baby shower here, we was advised by email to go in and see somebody about the area. When we arrived there was a lovely lady behind the bar that showed us around. My cousin called the next day to confirm she would like to go ahead and book but was advised the manager would call her back, a week later and no call back, she called again today and was passed over to the manager who was very arrogant, rude and unhelpful, the way he spoke to my cousin was disgusting and he quite clearly doesnât want to hold functions at his pub so not sure why he advertises it. We will no longer be holding the baby shower there or 30th birthday drinks we was going to enquire about and will be sure to tell everyone else the same!
