Traditional Cotswold stone building comprising bar, restaurant and quality hotel accommodation. The restaurant provides quality freshly cooked food in a vibrant atmosphere. Where both locals and first time visitors are made to feel equally at home.
I went out with my friends to sample the new menu, a great variety and the food was delicious especially the gnocchi and the salmon special! Service was friendly and attentive, a great evening out!

Visited with 6 friends for a late Sunday lunch. Food was plentiful (Roasts) with the exception of the Cheddar ploughmans. Only one piece of cheese with a baguette and some salad/coleslaw was a bit disappointing. Everyone else though enjoyed their hot meals and we would probably visit again; but please more cheese!

Our 2 AA rosette cotswolds restaurant is located on a quaint side street in the heart of Burford, famed for its sheep fairs of times gone by when our historic hotel, was once a collection of weavers cottages. This history teamed with our outstanding food
After spending an hour visiting every cafe/pub on Burford high street looking for somewhere that had vegan options, we came across the Lamb Inn. The menu clearly labels all vegan/vegetarian meals. There was more than one option. Inside the building is amazing. We sat in the bar and were served by fabulous waiter who was polite and helpful. We ordered the Buddha platter to share and I can honestly say it was one of the best Buddha platters I have ever had. Great combinations of hummus and pickled vegetables and tasty falafels. We loved the relaxed atmosphere of the bar. The facilities were also really good. Fabulous Molton Brown soaps and creams. We have looked at booking a room for future visits. Well done The Lamb Inn. I just wish more places would follow your lead

Built in 1411 as an Olde English Inn The Cotswold Arms exists still today as a welcoming pub and restaurant Situated at the bottom of the hill in vibrant Burford Ideally located for the coach park and FREE public car park
We called in here for food and couldn't believe how far back the dining area went. There's also a really nice outdoor courtyard at the back if you're visiting and the weather is nice. The staff were very helpful in getting us a table and served us drinks at the bar while we waited. Lots of gluten free options to choose from for those needing a celiac diet.

Wet couple of days, visiting "places". What we needed was a comfortable, friendly place to eat with matching food. This ticked the boxes. Both the bar and dining room were un-fussy but obviously old, the food was good and unpretentious, the service good but unobtrusive. If we are there, we will go again.

The Angel at Burford is an award winning Gastro Pub located in the beautiful Cotswold town of Burford. We are Hook Norton's Food Pub of the Year in 2015, and hold an AA Rosette.
Had dinner here on Sunday night. Lovely atmosphere, good service and very good food. Steak was cooked as ordered and well complimented with a rocket salad and chunky chips. Reasonably priced wine added to the great evening. A great find especially as so few places serve food on a Sunday evening so cĺose to our hotel. Definitely return again to try a different dish.

We visited this outlet by chance as we were staying close by. The restaurant was very busy both with small dining parties and a large party of 30 downstairs. The outlet also has rooms which we will return to sample if the quality of the restaurant food and service is anything to go by.The menu was varied and had dishes we had not tried anywhere else and all items were freshly cooked and had flavours to excite the most discerning palate. The service was attentive but not intrusive making for a really good visit. It was obvious that booking a table is a must to guarantee you can dine at this superb outlet. No wonder they had achieved such awards. Thank you for taking the time to write us such a kind review. We are very pleased you had such a great experience with us, and enjoyed our locally sourced dishes! We hope to welcome you back in the future,

We are a family run pub, just off the high street in Burford. We offer home cooked pub food served by friendly staff and you will always receive a warm welcome.
We recently saw Bob Mortimer at the Cheltenham Literature Festival and he gave the Royal Oak a 5 star review for their pies. We often go to Burford and don't much off the High Street, but this very welcoming pub down a side street is well worth a wander. We visited for Sunday Lunch and we both thought that the food was as good as any other pub in the area and there is a lot of competition. Looking forward to a wander again this time to try the pies.
