My family love this restaurant. The food is really second to none. You haven't tried authentic Indian food until you've eaten here. The premises are calming and clean, the staff are happy and the customer service is great. Before I tried Neem Tree if someone suggested a curry I'd turn my nose up. Now the neem tree is our go to place for any celebration.

From the very well known restaurant Potters Bar Tandoori opened back in 1991, now brings back the former owners to open the new Indian restaurant Tamarind Fusion. Nostalgia at its finest. Combining special flavours from different parts of South Asia inclu
We arrived on the off chance at this restaurant on a Friday evening; having read the reviews on Tripadvisor, and we are so glad that we came. What a SUPER restaurant this is!!We were warmly welcomed, even though we had not booked, and shown to a lovely table by a radiator as the Owner spotted that one of our party was cold - that is a service you don't see very often. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The portions were large without you feeling overfull. Each of us had a different dish, and each dish was just as gorgeous. We had a super time; and we were not rushed in any way. When the bill arrived, it was more than reasonably priced for such delicious food - which was also a lovely surprise. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and warmly minimalist - a paradox in itself!. Having spoken to the Owner, he told us that the restaurant has only been open for about 5 months and they are planning a whole range of culinary activities. We decided then and there, that we want to book the New Year celebrations. This is a wonderful restaurant and will be our go-to place whenever we visit Potters Bar. Just loved it!!Thank you Copperskid for a lovely review. It made everybody's day here at Tamarind. This is what we work so hard to achieve. It is really nice to hear that you felt our efforts. We always go above and beyond to ensure the customer is satisfied in every way and if something is not right then we make an effort to put it right. We'll inform you of our new years eve party in due course. Many Thanks and hope to see you again soon.

Attended the restaurant for a business lunch on 9/5/2019. The choice of food was very good, of good quality and very tasty. I particularly enjoyed the chicken dishes, the mixed vegetables and the various rice dishes in offer. The service was attentive and efficient, with a lovely view across open fields, and I will enjoy returning with my wife and family.

After having used this delivery system for a few years, I have ordered twice now without delivery. I phoned and was told both times that they are having internet problems, false excuses. Up too you, good service gone wrong.

I have eaten in many Indian restaurants around the world, including India and at Benares in London, Atul Kochharâs Michelin starred restaurant, and found the experience here to be fantastic. From the service to the food and attention to detail, itâs hard to find fault. The chef made me an âoff menuâ curry last visit on request and I was blown away. Well worth a visit if youâre in or around St Albans

This restaurant is small in size but big in everything else. Very friendly attentive service, an extensive menu (so many good things make it hard to choose though!), delicious food spiced according to your taste, and very reasonable prices. And you can park right outside. Most highly recommended.

Established since 1984, we are a family run restaurant who continue to add to the British culinary landscape with traditional and home made Indian and Bengali food. We believe that whilst keeping to the old and traditional recipes, we will keep searching,
We visited The Alban on 20th July for a family get together for my son's 21st Birthday. We were a group of 9 with various dietary requirements (2 vegans and 2 vegetarians) and tastes. I posted decorations to The Alban that week and they were happy to put them up and they were also happy for me to bring a birthday cake which they stored whilst we were eating. Everyone was in agreement that the food was amazing and it was also very reasonably priced. The restaurant is a family run business and they couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. Fabulous service!Thank you for your visit and lovely review. We're pleased you and the family enjoyed your visit to The Alban. We work hard behind the scenes to make it work for our patrons. Please do continue to recommend to friends and family alike. We hope to serve you again in the near future. Warm regards, The Alban

Despite there not being many customers, we waited well over half an hour to have our order taken. Two women dining together seemed to have a cloak of invisibility! The food was pretty bland and tasteless compared to other Indian restaurants in the area. The only positive is that it has a 5* food hygiene rating. Oh yes, and it was very noisy (probably due to the poor acoustics). Will not bother with it again.Dear Jackie,We are sorry to hear of your disappointment. We donât tend to take orders as soon as you are seated, please feel free to signal the waiters should you decide to visit again, who will promptly attend to you. It was a busy Saturday Night, which included a Birthday Celebration. We are aware it may have got noisy, which we tried to keep to a minimum but sometimes this is a little outside of our control. We can only apologies if this disturbed your meal.If you would like to discuss the visit any further then please do not hesitate to contact me.Regards Rasel

Decent flavours and good quality Indian food. Must try red biryani and salmon Shah which comes with a curry sauce. My wife enjoys salmon curry with pilau rice.
