We ate here on Boxing Day this year after deciding against getting a takeaway from another local curry house. I am so pleased we did as we have now discovered a great indian restaurant close to home. The value is fantastic, service was friendly and attentive and the food was also delicious!

We just had a meal at this wonderful bistro. The staff were excellent suggesting dishes and were not at all pushy. The food was the best we have had for a long time. The whole place is geared to helping the customer enjoy their food. I would have absolutely no hesitation about giving the highest recommendation to this superb eatery.

We ordered a large meal with extra meat and we received only 4 pieces in total and the manager and the staff tried their very best to lie and convince us that we had more meat than we actually had. Totally unacceptable behaviour from the staff very intimidating and totally unacceptable. I have pictures to prove this and only one member of staff actually apologised for the bad service and poor food. Really terrible experience and not a pleasant at all.

We really enjoyed our teatime meal here Friendly and helpful waiters Clean and pleasant decoration We both had lovely food. Linda had a really nice chicken dish I really enjoyed a spicy taste spectacular lobster dish leaving a spectacular flavoured tingling tongue. Well and truly the tastiest flavoured curry

Only ever heard great things about the Swaadesh so last night a group of ten of us ventured in, We really wasn't to be disappointed & was treated like royalty from the moment we arrived, actually reminded me of the scene from coming to America when Rose petals were sprinkled on the floor wherever the young Prince went, that's how much the waiters looked after you. Another bonus was taking your own alcohol which always helps save the pennies. No corkage charge either so yet again another result.Regarding the food I have to say I've travelled just about all four corners of our wonderful planet and spent quiet a lengthy amount of time in India/Bangladesh in my younger days, I lived off all the top street food stalls in Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata & Hyderabad for near on 18 months and the Swaadesh beats all of those hands down. We all chose different dishes and we were blown away by the quality. It's just little things that makes it special too, extra orange segments and chocolate sweets for everyone at the end. It truly is a wonderful place to eat and I'm in no doubt the number one curry house not only in tameside but in the Northwest.If there was one negative to take from the night which I'd hope the management will address, I had nowhere to hang my coat up.Many thanksCraig/Shane and the gang xHello Craig, appreciate your kind words and comments. Come here a lot with family and Christmas time, family tradition and new additions to the family, itâs imperative for it!! Usually the Christmas time, as busy as it is itâs usually perfect for us, very friendly and accommodating but when it comes to take out it changes completely, rude staff, no attentive to their customers and very poor quality food.We will remain for Christmas as itâs our tradition but not to sure about take out as the food has dropped and the quality isnât the best.Hope to see improvements.

This rather spacious and stylish restaurant is situated just out side of Ashton-Under-Lyne within striking distance of Oldham, Tameside and Manchester. There is ample parking and within close proximity to public transport.The moment you walk into this restaurant you are treated to a splendid aroma of Indian spices that make you want to stay and try everything. The menu is amazing. It list a wide variety of Indian (and surrounding countries) dishes, featuring all the classics and traditional dishes. Its hard to decide what to have because it all looks tempting. The menu itself is very user friendly as it list dishes that contain nuts, lactose and gluten.The food is outstanding. So tasty and delicious and fairly good portions too. You can wash down your meal with a variety of drinks both soft and alcoholic.It can get busy at times so it may be advisable to book ahead. We didn't book but the restaurant managed to find us a table so we got lucky there. The service was very swift, friendly and the waiters left you alone enough to enjoy the experience.It sort of ticks all the boxes, the food is delicious, there is ample choice and its reasonably priced, and for those of you who are not fans of Indian food there is a (albeit limited) selection of English food. The restraint also offers a take away service too,

Visited the Plaza with a party of 12 , service was fantastic our waiter Taz was brilliant and had a great sense of humour! Food was excellent and arrived quickly. Nothing to complain about at all . Iâve been to the Plaza a few times and it never disappoints.
