Needed a Curry Restaurant near to our hotel so chose Baton Rouge as was within walking distance. Large restaurant with great atmosphere. Food was great and service good despite being busy. Would definitely recommend. Only negative was no mobile signal.

Excellent food. We all enjoyed our meals and crispy duck was very nice and highly recommended. The Kung Po sauce with chicken - lots if chicken - nicely hot and tasty. Good price too. Four people, two courses and soft drink £55. Two things to be aware of. It is a small place and does look more like a cafe this took us by surprise but we were very glad to have eaten there. Secondly, it is a bring your own alcohol place. Nevermind, we will no next time. The food is so good there will be a 'next time' even if it is to get a take away. Don't be put off by the appearance - give it a try and you won't be disappointed.

Since opening in November 2007, Etsu has become a welcome addition to Liverpoolâs eating out scene and has won numerous awards including Restaurant of the Year in 2009 and being crowned âThe UKâs Greatest Japanese Restaurantâ by Eat Japan in 2010. With th
I haven't eaten very much at Japanese although we have been to Japan. This was superb in all respects. A great choice of classic Japanese Dishes including Sushi but also unusual but authentic starters and various categories of main courses. If you are not conversant with Japanese food then they will help you. Brilliant service. They even ask you if you are ready for the next course. Will go back there

I loved the relaxed atmosphere of this place as soon as we walked in; friendly, not rushed but still busy for a Sunday night. Excellent menu choices, the steamed buns were delicious, and the tamarind pork is a dish that would bring me back again. Great cocktails to choose from, I had the Little Asia which was really, really good. Sadly, no pictures as we were very hungry and totally forgot. Reason for the 4/5 is, and I have honestly only just realised writing this the following day, but we ordered prawn crackers and they didnât arrive. The staff were lovely, venue spot on; all round a good experience.

On arrival, the decor is stunning, different, beautiful. The atmosphere was buzzing, the aroma smelt delicious. Our waiting staff were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive without being in your face. The food was amazing, every dish was a delight to your taste buds. Would definitely return if back in Liverpool.

First time here Friday 4th October, we were with four friends who had been before and highly recommended this restaurant. They are right, service food and price are all excellent, we shared mixed meat starters and picked 6 different mains with rice and nans. All wonderful. Will definitely be back

My girlfriend and I visited Elachi based purely on trip advisor ratings and the feedback given on the reviews. Unfortunately our experience didnât quite meet those who gave glowing recommendations. Overall, Elachi delivered a distinctly average experience in all parts from service to food quality and it wonât live long in our memory. During our visit we ate poppadoms with a chutney tray which I must say were good; we really enjoyed the tamarind dip. Regrettably the chicken chaat didnât really tick any boxes. The pancake was thick and claggy, with the sauce lacking any flavour or spice. The lamb tikka masala was served in a sauce so overly sweet, it seemed like weâd finished off our evening with a dessert. The lamb was actually cooked to an okay standard, but unfortunately the sauce it was served with just wasnât good enough. Lastly the service. Although, it wasnât a service of negative quality, like the meal it was extremely hit and miss. The lady who served us was nice and tried to do all she could for us, but unfortunately the naan bread failed to reach the table and had to be taken off our bill because we had already finished eating before anyone remembered to bring it.I canât put my stamp of approval on this restaurant but the other 80+ 5* reviews canât all be wrong, so maybe our sub-par experience was a one-off.
