I have been here a few times now, in a group and solo. The staff have always been friendly and efficient. The food us good, well cooked, nothing to complain about at all.

This is the 2nd time I've been to the Giggling squid and it will probably be the last. I love Thai food. I've eaten all over Thai land over the past 10 years and I cook many Thai dishes making my own pastes fresh from scratch. The Giggling squid unfortunately is one of those chain restaurants that offer mass produced average food but then charge you through the nose for the pleasure. We were shocked when the 3 of us managed to rack up a £130 bill for 2 courses 3 beers and 1 mocktail and that was for really really average Thai food. My rack of lamb Massaman tasted like boil in the bag lamb from a central kitchen, and the sauce tasted like it was made with shop bought paste mixed together very quickly with overly thick and overpowering coconut cream. When we were presented with the bill we were pretty shocked. We then saw that they were charging over £7 for Chang beer which is brewed and bottled just down the road! A complete and utterly unjustifiable ripoff. Our apologies we did not wow on this occasion. We hope you will consider returning to us in the future. Giggling Squid

Named in honour of the 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma, the last Viceroy of the British Indian Empire, Mountbatten The Viceroys Lounge is an upmarket Indian restaurant based in the pleasant town of Bishops Stortford. More upmarket than your average I
Booked for Friday evening at peak time. Shown to our table and food and drinks order placed in good time. All had various starters lamb shish, onion bhajis, somosas and tikka all nicely presented. Mains were vibrant and full of flavour with just the right degree of spice be it accommodating a dansak served madras hot or mild. All the dishes were of substantial portion size and the bill was reasonable. We have been here many times and this ranks among the best around the area. We will be back for more.

Having featured in the UK's Top 10 Thai Restaurants by Harden's Restaurant Guide 2015, Baan Thitiya continues as one of the most popular Thai restaurants in the region. Success can be attributed to the perfect combination of authentic Thai cuisine served
Quite possibly the loudest restaurant we've ever been in (that includes Disney Kids Club breakfasts). By heck can the locals shout across their tables! Not the restaurants fault. However the food is restaurant's fault. Not proper Thai food. Everything suffered the same issue. No sour. Far too sweet. Heat & Salt okay. Totally unbalanced. It's quite pricy for what it is.The staff are excellent in every way.Hi Andy, thanks for taking the time to make comment. There was a particularly load group in that night, its not normally like that. I do wish however that you had enjoyed the food more, unfortunately after the event there is little we can do but If the food is not cooked to your taste then all you have to do is speak to the staff, we are always happy to replace a dish.

Caught up with some friends from Yorkshire, who know a bit about good curry houses. They were justifiably complimentary about Zara's.Great interior decor, the staff were great and the food well ........ We talked through what we liked etc. with the waiter and he made suggestions and even made up combinations for us. For example I really fancied a nice Brirani, so I got a mixed of king prawns, lanb and chicken ... fabulous!!We all eat exactly want we wanted by 'tweeking' the menu on good advice. Our friends left Stortford next morning very well impressed. Well done guys, I wish I could name the waiter involved, but check out Monday 9th September when you served Keighly men which is where you are from!?!!

Wow I had heard Rubyâs was good but for some reason I had never visited. Well I wish I had visited earlier. We were here to celebrate a birthday and had the most amazing meal.It is more of a fine dining Indian restaurant, with curryâs served directly onto plates and not served in bowls. All of our courses were first class, good portion size and delicious. The service was prompt and friendly and the was a lovely restaurant atmosphere. The staff had sprinkled the table in happy birthday confetti and there was a celebratory ice cream and sparkler. We could not fault our meal or the service we experienced and we will certainly be visiting again.
