A relaxing beach resort inspirationally conceived to capture the essence of surrounding natural wonders and host the most welcome and appreciated guests with world class luxury. The Charlestina Beach Resort offers the perfect setting for rare moments of romance, adventure, cooperate events and excitement…and memories to last a life.
A superior experience with the staff going above and beyond. Janet was wonderful as well as the chefs. Beautiful quite and relaxing beach and the grounds has small animals roaming around. My only dislikes were that the road entering the resort is an adventure. Also there is nothing else to see or do that is nearby.

The Beach House is a family run 10 bedroomed seafront guest house in the small fishing village of Ankwanda, in the Elmina district. We are a short drive from Cape Coast, Kakum National Park and a 50 minute walk along the beach to Elmina Castle. The Beach House sits on the beachfront of, arguably, one of the most clean and beautiful beaches in Ghana. All our rooms (other than Adifude) come equipped with air condition, mini fridge, TV and mosquito netting on the windows. We offer tour guiding, activities, wifi, meals, laundry and ironing services at extra charge. The guest house has 24/7 running water and a generator to provide electricity in the event of power outages.
We got a free upgrade on arrival to a double room with balcony and sea view. Location is very good, just next to a lovely beach. Beach is public but quiet and locals do not pester you. Miles of lovely, generally clean, beach on either side of the hotel. Hotel was very helpful to arrange affordable trips to Kakum National Park, trips to Cape Coast / Elmina castles and the airport. Balcony sea view was very lovely. The whole place is laid back with very helpful staff, making you feel safe and relaxed. Restaurant food was well prepared and tasty with a good choice. Facilities are old or not present. Restaurant tables are old, plastic, very basic and dated. No bathroom towels or toiletries, so bring your own! Room beddings not changed. Suite with balcony and sea view felt tight and small for 2 people. Balcony does not have privacy from hotel courtyard area. Beach side chairs are old and not clean. Breakfast was very basic. No restaurants nearby, so you have to take your meals in the hotel, though the dinner menu was good and affordable.

We came to the Elmina beach resort hungry from touring the Cape Coast and Elmina Castle and we expected our food to be served after 10 minutes from placing the order. It's beautiful architecture and the sea breeze. That notwithstanding, we were excited for our last destination because we could finally rest and have a whole meal while enjoying the sea breeze.

Great service! From Kumba at the front desk to Esther providing table service... to housekeeping, the grounds staff, pool staff, absolutely everyone working here is an asset to the establishment. The hotel is on the beach and the views from our 2 bedroom upper floor suite were serene, calming and breathtaking. We checked in on a Friday night and checked out on Sunday afternoon. We needed a late checkout due to childcare issues and luckily there was no-one checking in directly after us so they very kindly allowed us to check out a couple of hours late. Breakfast was great. Local and foreign dishes alike and custom orders for the eggs. A good selection of juices was available including "sobolo" drink which is known to have medicinal qualities and it tastes refreshing so give it a try. We had a variety of dinner meals in our group. The pizza was ok-ish but everything else was excellent, especially the tilapia. There are two pools a few feet apart - a 3ft pool for the kids and a full size, full depth pool which has a 3ft end, graduating to 6ft at the opposite end. This is a 2 star hotel with some 3 star qualities within a 5-star natural environment (the beach and greenery) and we would be happy to return. Thank you to all, especially Kumba (front desk), Esther (table service) and the other front desk young lady who gave us permission to check out a little late. Apologies I don't recall your name but we appreciate your care.

We got a lovely warm welcome at the Almond Inn. It’s run by a great Jamaican couple who have lived in Ghana for nearly 20 years. Our room was large and very comfortable, with fridge and large tv screen. Good breakfast, and dinner can be ordered in advance if you want it. The guest house is walking distance from Elmina town centre or just a very short taxi ride away. Also a short ride to Cape Coast so there is the opportunity to visit two slave castles while in the area. The beach at Almond Inn is not accessible but it’s really close to other beaches for relaxing and swimming. A cosy guest house full of Jamaican and African history facts and art.
