The starter, shrimps with avocado was delicious. Main course I took the advice of Tripadvisor for Mac and cheese and scallops. I am still looking for the scallops, according to the waiter is was cut into very small pieces. The coffee was undrinkable. Very far...MoreThere was a misunderstanding...the scallops are not cut in SMALL pieces...they are BABY SCALLOPS...but I already fixed the dish. Thanks for comment. Lourdes Ward

Having been in Panama for 6 days now I would say that this was an excellent meal and at a good price comparatively. Nice atmosphere. Kind of slow. The soups were great. Some people at our table didn't like the fact that while chicken pieces with bones were in the broth. That's part of what made the broth delicious. S sea bass was fabulous. Steak was tender and tastey. Washroom had no lock and no easy to dry your hands.

We stopped in for lunch after hiking up to see the Piedra Pintada. This tiny little cafeteria style restaurant is the bomb!!! I had barbecued chicken with rice and beans; he had baked chicken with rice, beans, and the potato salad. You would have thought it was our last meal! We couldn't eat fast enough -- it was sooooo good. They serve breakfast and lunch, so we must go back for breakfast after enjoying such a wonderful lunch.

I had both breakfast and dinner at the Rincon Vallero. Both times were very good. The fish I had for inner was fresh and well prepared. The service was excellent

I will Return or Recommend: Yes never figured out why in Panama, where they grow good coffee, coffee is not easy to come by. We tried the ice coffee It was really good , very tasty .Also the pastries looked really good. I order a cheesecake. The prices of the drinks were $2 - $3, which is what we would expect.

The Buen Appetitio Pissa Restaurant is located about 100 meters behind Cano's Bakery. It is run by an Italian family but is only open Thursday through Saturday night. The service is good and it is one of five pizza's places in El Valle.

We have visited the Mariposa Cafe on many occasions during our 3 month stay in El Valle. Have had Sunday brunch, lunch and snacks. Everything has been wonderful - fresh and homemade. My favorites have been French Toast casseroles, a wonderful Corn Chowder and Frittatas. I haven't tried anything that I haven't enjoyed! The atmosphere is very friendly and all the butterflies in the adjacent Butterfly Haven make for a very enjoyable respite. Erin and Dan, the owners, are so nice and welcoming! Great food and happy people - what more could you want?

Very good pasta and wine. I had pasta carbonara which is made with Italian bacon (guanciale) and a fresh almost row egg on The top, whit a lot of grinded cheese recommended by The owners which are very friendly and funny. A huge cup of an excellent red wine came by the side of the dish . Prices are acceptable for the quality of the food. I will come back
