This is high end, gastro-engineered food presented in a modern way. It is a joy to your mouth, your tongue and your tummy.
Each dish is a well thought out work of art that tastes great. Your senses are challenged. Your eyes amaze at the colors and composition. Your nose smells these wonderful aromas. And finally, your tongue get grab and shaken by absolutely amazing tastes. It is really a treat to eat here.

The food here is always good, fresh and high quality ingredients. It is prepared and presented in a very appealing way.
On this warm evening, we sat outside and enjoyed the 4 course chef's dinner paired with wine.
Nice selections of starter, soup, main and dessert and the wines from Italy and Spain complimented very well.
We had a very enjoyable dinner.

Just a short walk from the hotel I stayed at Hotel Steensel, a nice place to spend an evening with friends. Good food with attentive staff, can recommend.

On a week day, after having worked in the Hague, we wanted to have dinner not too far from home. We heard of this restaurant and opted for dinner there. It was very busy inside and outside and we opted for a table on the Terrace.
We had a curry soup and a brie cheese salad as entrees and chose scampi's and claresse fillet (fish) for our man course. They offered a nice rueda wine for the special price of E 18,50 per bottle. All in all everything was very tasteful and we enjoyed the wine very much as well. Staff is very friendly and helpful and although it was very busy, we did not have to wait long between courses.

De Hofkaemer in Bergeijk is a welcoming local restaurant which serves 80% local produce and has a menu that changes with the seasons. You can enjoy contemporary meals in an easy-going, homely atmosphere. The menu will tell you where the ingredients for your meal came from, but you can also ask the host or hostess for an extra explanation, as a former guest remarked: “The owner gives an extensive explanation about everything and his wife/the chef is happy to visit your table to listen to special requests. Vegetarians and vegans are pampered here, too. In other words, an absolute must for everyone visiting the Kempen region.” The local dishes are accompanied by very good wines, but you can also choose from more than 90 different kinds of (local) beers (La Trappe, van Moll). There is also a Hofkaemer Grand Cru, which was brewed to mark De Hofkaemer’s 10-year anniversary; another delicious beer from the Kempen region. It’s no wonder that the restaurant won the Beer and Gastronomy Award.
We have had many lovely meals in this restaurant, where we now are regulars. Reasons: good, wholesome food. Lovely atmosphere. Kind and attentive service from owners and staff. Reasonable price. Their menu shows the provenance of their produce, which is local. We strongly recommend this restaurant !

We have had lunch here and it was very good. Me and my wife both took de club Sandwich which tasted really good. For the children are little menu's available. They can also play in the garden where we sat. There also seems to be a playground inside for the children. I have included some photos.

So child friendly! open 4 till 8pm dine inside or the garden. Well I say the garden but it has more play equipment than a small play park. Now for the food, large selection of both sweet and savoury Pancakes. Large for adults small for children or if your an adult who wants to try both go for a child's size and have one savoury and one sweet. Another nice touch is with every child's pancake the child is given 2 tokens, the tokens can then be exchanged for toys. Playroom, this room has 5 free Xboxs for the young ones to play on while parents can enjoy a quiet after dinner drink and chat. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Ps although I said small for children it's a large small.

Menu in both Dutch and English. We went for lunch as a family two adults and two teenagers. But this is not a place just for families, lots of locals of all ages. The annual Ladies Dinner of my gentleman's discussion group was held in Restaurant Vandeijck. The old farm building has been tastefully transformed into a classy eating space. The multi-course culinary dinner with appropriate wines was of high quality. The portion sizes were rather small but for a group with an average age above seventy this was probably the right strategy. (Personally I left with a feeling that I could eat the dinner again!) The service was excellent.
