We took our dear friend (and a long time local resident) here for her birthday last week and I was very pleased by the nice decor in the restaurant and the wonderful personal service we had by the owner! The pizza is the BEST in the country and we are pizza snobs. In fact, my wife is gluten intolerant and this pizza didn't bother her a bit. It's a little on the pricey side for Ecuador, but for this special occasion it was worth it.

For the service quality and food quality this place is overpriced. We got two meals between $6-7 each which came with a pudding/postre. My partner was given about 8 chips with his meal, and the puddings were the smallest, skinniest slices of chocolate cake, and one wasn't web a full slice. My partner also had a sandwich and the bread was very dry.Fruit salad and juices good.Staff ok. There's a lot better around if you look.
Pizzeria Blanquita Aliani is a small restaurant run by a local indigenous family from Cotacachi. The owner, Blanca, is an entrepreneur who learned her recipe in one of the best restaurants in Quito and decided to open up her own business. We have more tha
One of our first nights in Ecuador we came across this family joint. We had walked by for lunch but they were not open, so it wasn't an accident that we walked past it again in the evening to be pleasantly surprised they were open. We walked into a very small restaurant, they have four tables for service, two were taken up by local families. We were promptly seated by the very friendly two ladies we interacted with and enjoyed pizza we never would have guessed we would have while visiting Cotacachi. Very enjoyable experience being able to communicate with the local families while enjoying ourselves immensely. Also noticed multiple pizza's race out the door for delivery, handy information to have! Another place we are trying to hit for a second time before we leave town, on this trip at least.

We are a local specialized in cafeteria and pizzeria, where you can find the best products of the Salinerito brand, as they are, cheeses, sausages and chocolates with the highest quality.
We spent $12, got 2 pizzas (personal sized but we had to take some home because we couldn't finish it), and 2 fruit smoothies. The pizzas were nothing short of amazing! Definitely recommended.

Some of the best pizza Iâve had in Ecuador. The food is good and so is the service. It is a little expensive for Otavalo but I recommend. Thank you so much for your good recommendation! Quality Ingredients is a big part of what makes us better than the cheaper restaurants...always a difference.

Italian cuisine with Italian chef. Ingredients of quality, italian real pizza!!Elegant typical Italian environment...
We were so happy to find Ristorante Roma in Cotacachi. After 3 weeks in Ecuador, we were searching for an alternative to the heavy meat and potatoes Ecuadorian food. The outside of this restaurant didnât draw us in but once we were inside, we found it to be an attractive small and cozy space. We live in California where the quality of Italian food is very high so didnât have high expectations about Italian food in Cotacachi. But! We were delighted to find that the food here was quite delicious. The pizza had a wonderful crisp crust and was Italian styleânot overly cheesy and the sausage was Italian sausage, not the hot dog sausage we had on other pizzas in Ecuador. The pasta was al dente and very well seasoned, flavorful. What a wonderful surprise! The chef was Italian and a lovely guy.
