You have to know Austrians are very nice and helpful - please take them as they are and you will have a great evening! We totally enjoyed the food, especially the staff, the nice place outside and inside, the 'disco-dance-night' on a Friday. Will have a stop there every time when close.

The title says it all. My parents eat there 4 times in the week they are in austria. It's good (beware: not very good!), a lot and cheap. The total package made me give the top rating, but some dishes aren't that good. Especially the cordon bleu was mediocre. The fish was excellent.

We had lunch here and enjoyed a really delicious bowl of Goulash Soup served by friendly efficient staff. all of the staff we came into contact with one English. A great place to spend an hour or so and enjoy the wonderful views.

Out for a walk near my daughter's home in this village. Dropped in for a coffee and beer. Sat outside in covered area and found it very relaxing. Friendly waiter who coped well with our lack of German. Good coffee and nice cold beer at a reasonable cost. Did not partake of food but saw their ice cream menu---very tempting.Happy to go there again.

As a couple we went here for drinks. Apparently no one ever orders coctails but I ordered their alcohol free Mojito and it was great. The ice coffee was cery tasty too. Worth the extra walk inland from the lake. Going back for food later this week as they actually have a selection of vegetarian food!

It was our first time at Bergkristall while staying on the lake. Food and drinks was excellent with very friendly and attentive staff for a reasonable value. We ate Wiener Schnitzel, goulash, salad and sugared pancake and it was superb. The restaurant is well located next to the street with a beautiful overview to the lake.Anyway we go back in the near future.

Very nice restaurant with nice Tyrol atmosphere. We had lunch and some Radler. I must say, it was very refreshing and rejuvenating after the walk around whole Achensee. This restaurant specialize on classic Tyrol cuisine and they how how to do it. The food was perfect, although a bit fatty and heavy. Recommend.

At the top of the cable car above the village of Maurach, overlooking lake Achensee, on finds three different restaurants. We only tried this one, which also serves as a mountain hut offering accomodation. The hut has a very cozy, warm wooden interior, split into several mid-size rooms, and a large outdoor terrace with an amazing view of the mountains, the valley and the lake.It offers a nice selection of drinks (including draught beer), some lighter snacks as well as decent main dishes and even a large selection of cakes for dessert. They even make a good cappuccino. Prices are very reasonable. The place is family owned, and run by a friendly young staff. There is lots of room inside and out, so it's also convenient with children.A pleasant surprise at the top of the mountain.

The food was amazing, it seems the cook really knew what he was doing :-) We even got a description of the today's meals from the cook himself. The waiters were also very nice and friendly. It is of course more expensive that other restaurants in the area, but it's totally worth it, in my opinion.

Located in the center of Maurach, Cafe-Restaurant Klingler spoils you at all times of the day - no matter if you want to enjoy lunch, a coffee break, dinner or a solid snack in between. Well-known for its specialties made of homemade ice-cream and its tem
Stopped off here for lunch, beautiful sunny day to sit out on the sun terrace. Staff were great and helpful. The cold meat salads we ordered were delicious. Then we decided to have an ice cream, fantastic choice of different sundies, a lot with liqueurs. Happy days. To say we were full when we left is an understatement!! Will certainly pop in again the next time we are in Achensee.......
