Looking for a slightly different lunch place? This could be it. In the old city center of Moss, H.o.F is, beside being a cafe, an artist collective & literature house. A sociable spot with much natural light, and a combination of freshly prepared sandwich

Magnus warmly welcomed us into his GastroPub and was an exceptional host from the start. Great recommendations on food and advice on matching beers. Funny but we all went for the Moose Wild Stew and home crafted 'blond' beer! The Stew was pure delight and the blond beer was smooth and went down rapidly.

Very, very cozy atmosphere, great service, and very priceworthy food (Well, for NORWAY, anyway!). Planning a very casual meal with my kids, and as we had heard that management and staff had recently been upgraded, expectations were a little higher than last visit (which was O.K., but not more.).They certainly lived up to the rumours! Quite a Pearl in a little sleepy town south of Oslo...Higly Recommended!

Celebrating Mother's day, we went for an early dinner. We were attended to quickly and got our drinks and placed our food orders. All well, nice atmosphere and the restaurant was a quarter to one third filled. After a looong wait we had to ask when our meals were due. Minutes after the first meal was served to one of our to children. She loved it and offered us all a taste. She had the kid's steak and has never been a fan of steak. her baked potato was also fabulous and she dug in. After she was about halfway through I had to ask the waiter about the rest of the meals. Well, we normally serve the kids first he helpfully replied. Ok, what about her meal? I said, indicating her younger sister. Turns out they misplaced her order and brought her steak within a minute. With the wrong kind of potatoes, though, which he offered to replace right away. She declined. The waiter (and owner?) was full of apologies for this. After the longest wait - close to an hour after placing our orders - us three adults received our meals. And the food was delicious! Steak was fantastic! Service was lax at best.To sum it up:Pros: great food and ok surroundingsCons: slow, slow service and it had to be called for during the meal. The waiters (two) was hustling to and from continuously but not very attentive. Minus one point,The ooze of fied meat from the kitchen was really annoying. It stuck in my clothes so I have to wash everything, including my winter jacket because of the smell. Minus one point.Regarding some other reviews: prices are fair! We paid NOK 1400 for three adults and two kids including a bottle of wine. The other person complaining about paying NOK 2000 for 5? NOK 400 a head; what do you expect? And claiming coffee should be free? Come on! The coffee should be tasty and fresh, yes. But not fair to demand free coffee.

Really was looking forward to taste and variety of food from this well known catering restaurant in Moss. A little more creativity would do that little thing - when delivery was made. Food tasted ok, but really expected more . Have to say that order of food was done by ourselves, but on food we have experienced in other countries.

At Onkel Blå we welcome you with a warm atmosphere, a professional & personal hostility and delicious food. In the morning we serve you a nutritious start of the day with our breakfast concept. At mid day you can try the famous Swedish concept "Fika" with
We only had coffee there, which was really good. Excellent service, free wifi, and nice design. There's a free parking nearby. The restaurant is in front of the church.
Where to eat Norwegian food in Moss: The Best Restaurants and Bars

The most elegant restaurant in the area. Restaurant Munch is located in the main building built in 1767, and several of the old masterâs works adorn the walls in the restaurant. The restaurant has a French-inspired cuisine based on the best Norwegian and
Upon arrival seven thirty, reception was friendly, but somewhat unfocused. Then the waitress disappeared for ten minutes and she and her colleague was generally hard to get hold of throughout the evening. We were offered nothing in the way of water or aperitif but left to ourselves. Eventually, the waitress reappeared with the menu that basically contained the seven course meal of the day (that could be scaled down to two dishes). The menu came with a wine pairing that wasn't to impressive, hence we asked for the wine list. Another wait. When it eventually materialized the main impression was pricey, indeed very pricey. Not due to the rather comprehensive list of claret (they are proud of their wine cellar), but rather due to what they charge for the less expensive ones. We ended up ordering four courses to start with, telling the waitress that we might want to order cheeses and desserts, if we did not feel to full towards the end of the meal. When the fourth and final dish arrived a little past ten thirty - that is three hours later - we were not in the mood for additional fare. We ordered a bottle of riesling from Trimbach, symptomatically this had not yet manifested itself when the first course arrived. When it finally did arrive, it must have come straight out of the kitchen as the temperature was easily the same if not above that of the dining room. The first dish was passed of as asparagus served with verjus but the few pieces of green asparagus (that if added together probably would have made up one small specimen) disappeared in a rather messy presentation where volumewise the bulk of the dish was made up of a mousse of chèvre, salad, red beets and various other ingredients. While the dish was okay, it was not quite what the menu had announced. And this set the tone for the rest of the meal. Let me just add that the sole was replace by halibut (overcooked). The main course, the veal, was OK, though. Strangely enough, these people, that pride themselves on their wine cellar, and whose wine list contain a number of wines that sell for five digits, were not able to provide us with proper burgundy glasses even though we tried to insist. In the end, it took us a while to get the check, but not as long as it did the couple across the room that eventually gave up, got up and left. In conclusion, unless one happens to be staying at the hotel, there is little reason to visit the restaurant (and be prepared for a wait).

Welcome to a taste of Greece! Tasty Greek and international dishes made from firstclass ingredients. We particularly recommend our lamb entrées and Greek meze and tapas.
Sometimes, when going to a foreign food restaurant in a different country, i have to remind myself Chinese food isn't going to taste like Chinese food back in the USA. Afterall, the foreign chefs have to shape their food to fit the local palate. No matter what Peking duck looks like in China, the presentation in the US needs to please the American eye. I can't forget the time I ordered a sushi dish in a reputedly good Japanese restaurant in Oklahoma City. Right where the scoop of rice was supposed to be was a scoop of mashed potatos. So too with Greek food in Norway. I shouldn't expect a Gyro to look lime an American Greek gyro. The dishcame with bread, gyro, minerature boiled tomatoes and salad. There was just a quarter of a round of pita bread, not nearly enough to make a gyro sandwich. And the rest of the fixings were missing. Even though, it didn't fit my American stereotype of a gyro, it wasn't all that bad. The restaurant is pleasant enough and the staff was friendly.
