Catch me if you can

The breakfast is quite all right; cereal and yoghurt, egg dishes, pancakes, fruits, desserts, cheeses and much more. A little ordinairy, but quite all right on an early morning from Larvik to Hirtshals. The lunch buffet one week later, Hirtshals-Larvik, was not to our taste. The restaurant was crowded, and it seemed as if the passengers were afraid of not to get enough food. Sic!Look for more reviews by MulleEllum.

I stayd here for one night and ate both breakfast, lunsj and dinner. Lots of variety, good quality and amazing dinner - and not just me saying that - we were about 30 people and everyone was telling that the dinner really was great.

Nice location and a nice view. Unfortunately there seemed to be no system for arriving guests. Waited very long for a table, even if there was a lot of staff and free tables. Good food, friendly waiters but sorry; lack of know-how and system.Thank you for nice words and recommendation! We gonna work better with the system and know-how...Hope to see you againg! You are certainly welcome!Kind regardsLilly Skow Røed

Looked for this place after Tripadvisor review and reference to a shrimp sandwich which got my interest and taste buds going. Just off the square so follow steakhouse sign. Locals very nice. Anyway to the sandwich. Not a sandwich as we know it Jim but a delicious and well stocked plate of shrimp with a great salad and a couple of slices of fried type bread. Wonderful and will live long in the memory. Shout out to the Persian little lady server who looked after us well. Finally a pleasant and reasonable bill after Oslo.Hi Thank you David. Welcome back to Larvik

Welcome to the summer restaurant in the Beecwood. The Town's idyllic front parlour.

Bøkekroa is idyllically situated in Norway's biggest beech-tree forest. A most beautiful, tranquil place, specially in Summer, when one can sit under the natural canopies, enjoying nice food, delicious cakes, etc. Ask for the Budapest cake with mandarin - it's probably one of Norway's best!

Decided to eat here on our one night in Larvik. Its a great place to eat. We were met at the door by friendly waiter, offered the choice of inside or outside tables. We both ordered the mexican pepper steak, which was delicious. One of the best steaks I've eaten outside of the USA. Cooked medium it was just perfect. Prices were a little high but not extreme for Norway prices. About 1200Nok for 2 main courses and 2 desserts and 4 drinks. We would definitly eat here again.

Il Passatore

Reviewed By Toujours_plus_haut

Il Passatore is an authentic Italian restaurant in the centre of Larvik. The menu offers a choice of stonebaked pizzas (in my opinion the best in town) and hearty Italian staple dishes. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and child friendly. Well suited for anyone from solo-diners to larger groups. The restaurant has become a popular venue on the cultural scene of Larvik, thanks to the hard work of the owners Marco and Anastasia. Art exhibitions, opera cafés (advance booking recommended) and live music takes place on a regular basis. The location is as central as can get in Larvik, right off the town square. On a sunny day it is nice to sit outside with a glass of wine or their delicious coffee. As close to a touch of European cafè life as you’ll get in our neck of the woods.I hope you enjoy your visit.Ciao,S.
