This is fast-becoming one of PE's well-known culinary institutions as it is very popular amongst the locals and foreigners alike.Close to our Sports Stadium, it equally exudes a festive flair amongst diners sharing rustic wooden tables and benches, with a self-service bar and a freezer full of ice.The authentic Portuguese flavors are evident in all their dishes, with the 3 main dishes being their rather pricey prawns (at R35 each), as well as their very tasty peri peri chicken and (not-to-be-missed and more reasonably-priced) ribs. These can all be served with a large portion of hand-cut crispy fries, a Portuguese salad, and Portuguese rolls. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves for the evening, and get messy with the finger-licking flavors of Portugal!

An interesting menu. We chose a combo of Portuguese Chicken (medium strength) and King Prawns, accompanied by boiled potato and spinach and carrots,Comments:The medium strength gave the chicken a subtle bite - I enjoy fairly hot dishes so will order the hot next time. The chicken was succulent and tender. The prawns were delicious - firmer than other prawns I've eaten recentlyShanna and her husband came to chat to us and he explained that they are wild Argentinian prawns, whereas the Queen Prawns are farmed, so it depends on one's preference.A useful tip they gave us is to ask to have eg one sardine or a small piece of cod as a starter rather than as a main first time round as they are Portuguese style and perhaps more of an acquired taste. We took our own wine and paid corkage. Our waitress was pleasant, prompt and helpful. All in all, a special experience for a special occasion.Shanna and her husband

Great eating place and the choice although small is very good. I love the chicken and the prawns and there is a great combo now with the two together served with a few chips and a salad for about R110. You can take your own wine or order there

We are a upmarket Grill-house and Wood-fired Pizzeria, selling the best pizzas, ribs and prawns in Port Elizabeth. We are a family oriented restaurant with our own kiddies playcentre, offering a wide variety of starters and meals including great vegetaria
If a restaurant is billed as a grillhouse and pizza place then I am hesitant to order anything else bar their speciality. However, as I am not a great pizza lover, I ordered the hake and chips. Well, I was blown away! Not only by the size of the fillet on my plate (enough potato chips to feed a family of 4) but by the way in which the fresh fish was so perfectly prepared... its flavour enhanced by a lemon, garlic and butter sauce and a far from bland sauce tartare! My husband's starter of calamari was HUGE, so be aware that their portion sizes are over-generous.I was pleased to see the use of bio-degradable straws, as well as the use of environmentally friendly cardboard boxes for take-aways.Dear JilldutoitThank you for your beautiful message. We want to thank you for your business and assure you of our 100% commitment to customer satisfaction. We appreciate it very much and we look forward to you joining us soon again.Kind regards Fernando.

Very nice and clean facilities. Friendly staff. The chicken was lovely. There is plenty of space. We went on a friday evening, a party of 8 and they could accomodate us easy. Plenty parking outside. When you a limited to halaal options, this nandos is a good choice for muslim families. Nicely located just off the beach road. Can go for a nice walk along the beach after a meal.
